Kiara opted for a strapless gown by La Bourjoisie to wear to the Zee Cine Awards on Tuesday evening. I may not care for the gown but I thought she wore the gown well. I also sensed a hint of discomfort as well. It felt like she was very conscious of the thigh-high slit and was making an effort to ensure no accidents happened.

This is so dated, like from the 80’s. Time travel gown.
At least 5-6 looks featured in the last couple days have featured the Bollywood brigade in gowns with slits riding high up to the bikini line. Looks like a memo went out to all the stylists. And none of them could dish out a classy look.
PS – Dear Ms. Jolie, you set this one leg sticking out of the thigh high slit trend back in 2012. Since then you have worked in quite a few movies, married Brad Pitt and even separated from him. But our Bollywood divas are still following your trend. Yup, I know, I can’t even compliment you coz it’s that sad.
Umm, we do know that Angelina Jolie did not wear the first gown with the slit, right?
That kind of basic design was worn by everyone from Marilyn Monroe to Helen 🙂 So, I am not sure we can credit Jolie with this gown.
Perhaps Advani has her own agency as an individual, and made up her own mind to wear what she wanted?

Don’t really like the gown. But, heck, this girl is gorgeous. She reminds me of a young Hema Malini.
Really? Looking at the picture, I thought she was posing in that way to make sure we didn’t miss the slit! haha In one picture it looks like she is pulling the skirt aside so that we see the leg.
She looks far from uncomfortable or conscious to me.
It is funny how we project these things on to pictures 🙂

She is such a pretty girl .. and a decent enough actress.
It’s sad to get into the skin show mode .. since her past few appearances.
