Sequin Sisters
The Kapoor daughters went the sequin dress route at Manish’s party with Khushi wearing a wrap Zhivago mini and Jhanvi, a Sonaakshi Raaj one. Between the two, who did you think fared better in terms of finishing touches?
Me, I liked Khushi’s finishing touches better.

Gwwddd..their complexion has become ten shades lighter!
I know right. Any lighter and they will resemble Rhea kapoors sari from MM’s birthday party.:-)
+1
So True. LOL
Lol. Couldn’t agree more!
+1 wonder what these stars and star kids do to turn so many shades lighter though. They are unrecognizable from a few years ago
These girls, specially the younger one underwent a huge transformation and I don’t meant only the skin color.
Yes. I noticed too but refrained from commenting as I know it would be moderated. I can see some major changes in elder one too!
The girls are so groomed and glamorous! And they are not even 20. Some hot legs there
quite taken with Khushi’s resemblance to Rhea Kapoor!
I thought she looked like Arjun kapoor.
Thats exactly I thought!
how old are these two again?
they are trying to act 10 yrs older than they are
Khusi looks a mix of young Sridevi and Rhea Kapoor.
Like khusis dress, makeup and jhanvis shoes and clutch
I prefer Kushi’s dress to Janhvi’s. Janhvi’s dress felt too short to me.
I thought you guys don’t feature kids. That’s what you wrote recently for a post involving Aamir, Kiran, and their son.
We don’t if it seems like they prefer to be private and are avoiding the camera. In this case, they did pose for the photogs and both of them are over 16 as well.
I have at least seen JHanvi’s pictures all over the internet and she seems quite active on instagram. I wasn’t surprised by them being featured here.
In the family picture
Sridevi is thinking: ” i wish my designer heels were visible” Jhanvi : “thank God i am not standing next to Khushi else no one would notice my legs”
Khushi: “I hope i am nailing the one leg forward pose”
And Boney : “GET ME OUTTA HERE”
Lovee lovee Jhanvi’s dress I think it’s really glamorous and sexy!
Jhanvi looks better.
Khushi looks exactly like Sridevi’s niece Maheshwari.
More beautiful than her
I think the hemlines are waaay to short for them; the hemlines are fine for someone how is say 25 but not for the under 20 set. The hemlines make the outfits look tacky; Jhanvi’s outfit is on the trashy side. Sridevi looks fab in her sari.
Precocious much? the younger one is barely 16! At that age I hadn’t even discovered eyebrow shaping, waxing, blow-drying my hair, let alone wearing such dresses. When will star parents let kids be kids! sigh
I so agree with you. The girl on the right: way too much!
She’s just 16?! WHOA! She looks so much older. Seriously – what is wrong with these star parents?!
I don’t think it’s just star kids. There are a lot of 12-13 yr old kids who wax and shape their eyebrows. Maybe it’s peer pressure or something.
+100! On one hand we have Alia Bhatt who has raw appeal and looks so natural. These girls look so processed, that too when they are just in their teens!
jhanvi rocks it!
Oh gosh Jhanavi and Khushi look hideous! They are still teenagers; why not dress up with a spunk, with an attitude? These dresses are for people in their 20s and over; they are too too young to wear these. As vas says, I too hadn’t discovered eyebrow shaping or even had any pocket money during teenage years! I understand that times are changing, but kids should be kids! There is a lot of time to act grown up and mature later!
The girls are gorgeous and will only get more beautiful with each passing day. I agree about letting kids be kids but then again, I look at my 16 year old and the couple of opps she gets to dress up in a year (homecoming and school dance), she goes all out and looks like these girls. Its the age to want to dress up and when you have access to the best of the best, then I would think this is inevitable. I for one, know that it is not easy to convince teens to dress down or enjoy their childhood years, they are in too much of a rush to grow and we want them to be little forever. 🙂
As with everything else with India these days, Indian teens seem to be trying to ape American teens.
With all due respect, suggesting that all American teens are likely to dress in skimpy clothes is an amazingly prejudiced point of view . None of my nieces, the college students I mentor or the babysitters that watch my daughter would be caught dead looking like this. On the contrary, most American teens are amazingly well-dressed, well-behaved and despite the common perception, don’t “party” at school or otherwise. Many are too busy with school and other activities that are necessary to get them into college and professional life to be bothered. I don’t think it is fair to paint an entire country with one paintbrush.
These girls are most likely dressed this way because they want to enter the movie industry – I believe at least one of them is soon to be launched. You can let kids be kids if they are intent on being kids, but if they are intent on becoming “adults” by virtue of the fact that they are entering the workforce (in a large way, not just a newspaper route or babysitting gig), you have to let them pretend to be adults – the industry they are entering demands this, and you just have to watch a Bollywood movie to appreciate the skimpiness of outfits etc. Just because this appears on the Indian screen does not imply that this is the norm in India either.
Agree with Katy 100%
I find the Indian kids raised in India more westernized than the American kids who are maligned for their western outlook.
Thank you for your response, Katy. Having lived in multiple cities across the US, I mostly agree with your assessment that most American teens do not dress like this, however, some do and these are the ones who are spotlighted and media-beamed all over the world, seemingly causing some unusual influence in developing countries like India. That was my only point. Thx-
Hahaha. I guess people who are commenting they are not dressing their age either don’t have children or don’t notice how teens dress up these days . It’s not about aping the west either . It’s normal behaviour for anyone of their age to dress like this . Their idols dress up like that . Their style influencers dress up like that . Their counterparts across the world dress up like that . So this in totality is how the present generation dresses up . Open your eyes people .
Jhanavi is to be launched very soon in movies as per the gossip! So I can see why she would dress as such. Yes it’s a little short for my taste and I somehow like Khushi’s overall look.
I don’t care how old anyone is. I’m going to restrict my judgement to the clothes alone and OH MY, how HIDEOUS is Jhanvi’s dress! (Again, I’m talking about the dress and not her). So incredibly tacky and garish! My eyes!
Well I don’t expect them to look any different coming from a film background, plus a lot of teens dress like this. Maybe the hemlines are tad too short but it is what it is. I do like Khushi’s dress more.
couldnt care less bout who they are or their age but the dresses are ugly as hell and sooo cookie cutter. would just end up getting lost in the sea of glittery dresses
Can you pls change the daughter’s to daughters? Thank you 🙂
