In Madhurya x Torani

Comment image 5

Keerthy attended the screening of her Tamil movie at the ongoing Toronto International Film Festival wearing a custom Torani created with fabric sourced from Madhurya Creations. Ask me and I would’ve preferred if she had worn the kanjivaram sari as is styled in a modern way than wear this hotch-potch of a jacket/skirt. I appreciate the thought but the outfit was not looking good.

  1. I agree with you.

A Saree, especially such rich weaves, are a statement in themselves. I will never have the heart to convert them into something like this. Max- into a dupatta(in case there is some irreversible damage done to it.)

I did that to a rich parrot green benerasi which my mother got as a gift in her wedding.

  2. She should have worn a simpler necklace with a big pendant. The one she wore is too big for the modern take of the whole look.
Also the stole kind of concept is an interesting take but in execution it doesnt look good. Feels as if she is wrapped in a thick cloth. Atleast may be a lighter fabric for that part might have helped a wee bit.
But the color looks nice mainly with dark contrast with the gold.
