In Sabyasachi

While at a song launch (from her upcoming movie), Katrina was photographed in a floral Sabyasachi sari. Wearing her hair down, she rounded out the look with a small black bindi, classic black sandals and a pair of pretty earrings (also from Sabyasachi)- just the touch that this sari needed. I am glad she didn’t add chunky/stament-y jewelry and stayed true to her non-fussy minimalist style. Katrina looked lovely!

I wonder if we’ll be seeing her do more of Indian-wear on this promo-tour considering the early tone she’s set.

  1. So beautiful and lovely. I am glad she stuck to her simple and non fussy styling and did not succumb to the middle parted tight hair! I just wish she does away with the one boob drape the next time.

  2. Can relate to this look. Minimal n classy. As for saree, looks like printed version of plain sarees with sequin border in very possible colour by Manish Malhotra!

  3. She has my heart. Such a clean elegant look. She should go to all Bollywood events like this so others can see the how absurdly overdressed they are.

  4. Complete Credit to Sabyasachi. Trust him to make anyone look statuesque, bling free and just plain beautiful without unnecessary glitter and jazz. He brings out the feminine beauty in every woman.

I’m sorry but isn’t Katrina a tall girl herself and so nobody needs to do much to make her “look” statuesque ? Also considering that everyone who wears anything that is Sabya comes out in that godawful middle parted chipkoo hair style and so end up looking extremely interchangeable , I think the credit here goes to Katrina for sticking to her aesthetic and coming out the winner. I think she looks great and distinctive here inspite of wearing Sabyasachi , not because of it .

  6. This flowery chiffon saree is great because….?
The little bit of glitter added to the border makes this designer? Man, Sabya, design your ornate stuff but don’t rip off people like this.
She looks nice. Anyone would, in this saree and simple styling. Its not her style, she is clearly wearing whatever the stylist gave her. Her style is monotone midi dresses (mostly) in red with flat hair. So the credit here goes to the existence of flowery chiffon and the beautiful garment that a saree is.

  7. Now she should be in Cannes!!! What elegance and dignity, after the sighting of exotic fauna and natural disasters( read prancing parrots, mauve mermaids and angry lightning white flashes on the red carpet, Katrina would have done classic and beautiful a la Grace Kelly and Ingrid Bergman, without doubt. She looks divine in the black saree, Sabyasachi only by chance here.

  8. Katrina looks oh-so-lovely here ! Its been ages since I have not rolled my eyes at a Sabya sighting on one of the celebrities ,however ornate the outfit was , because it felt like the entire town decided to have one long shopping spree at his stores. But this is such a classy and elegant look that I’m willing to let go of Sabya’s omnipresence .
