Not a fan of those shoes. At all. And of the way she’s attempted to tuck those denims into her shoes.

  1. eeewww!! What’s wrong with her? How could anybody think that those shoes go with the outfit? Major let down by Katrina. Even though she is not a fashionista, she usually gets by because of her pretty face. But not this time! her looks couldn’t save her from those monster shoes!

  3. Agreed. Hate those shoes. Too flashy for my taste. And i couldnt help but thinking how Fish Fry by Manish Arora have such gorgeous shoes! 😛

But is this woman gorgeous or is she? *dies of envy*

  4. Stuti – the woman is gorgeous!! All she needed was a different pair of shoes and she would’ve looked GREAT! What was she thinking?!?!

  5. I was thinking she looks good for a change even though it reminded more of some beer ad, and then that 80s comeback shoes; she is there to promote that Nike sneaker shoes.

  6. OMG!!!!! This is a classic example of how someone so beautiful can indeed manage to look absolutely horrible, that too without trying too hard!! What the hell was she thinkin?? Bright blood red tee matched up with ‘cant-distinguish-if-its-black-or-dark-blue” dark denims?? And to top it off she wears those ugly ugly shoes, that have fluorescent green & pink in it!!! This can seriously hurt her image in the industry…….

shame about the crazy choice of footwear, but the way she is wearing them makes it look like she’s endorsing the brand?? maybe??

  10. omg. those shoes would go perfectly with my black-with-neon-pink-and-yellow-accents track suit by sergio tacchini – from 1985! how is nike even making those shoes anymore?! some things should have been left in the 1980s aka the worst fashion decade.

not thrilled with the pants, either, but she looks really fresh, and am very glad she didn;t style too much, keeping in mind the nature of the event.

btw dravid looks great in the background poster!

  11. Honestly, I think if anyone could pull off those shoes it’s her. They don’t look that bad bc of her height. Besides, it’s 80s revival time now…just look at all the plastic jewellery, skinny jeans etc. So the shoes kinda work for this look.

  12. Those are some CLASSIC jordans right there! Nice colors!

I think she looks great, big f’ing deal about the sneakers…not everything that these actresses do has to be about fashion….God forbid she’s not wearing Gucci or Prada! *Oh the horror!*

  13. Actually that look is really in for the teenage crowd and young twenty somethings (early 20’s).

High top sneakers are everywhere. Just look at all the young hollywood-and no not the LA type but the hipster crowd. The young hollywood that is not exactly papparazzi friendly (i.e. the lohan’s, the Hill’s kids, etc.)

Look at almost all the young ones from the Twilight cast-kristin stewart, rob pat, nikki reed, etc. They all wear flashy high tops with skinny jeans. They top their looks with casual tops so not to compete with the flashiness of the shoes-i.e. flannel shirts, cardigans and tees; leather jackets.

Same goes for young ones like Shia laBeouf, zac Efron, Ranbir Kapoor and ESPECIALLY Imran Khan. I’ve seen Imran Khan wear flashy sneakers if not high tops with skinny jeans

In America (bc that’s where i am from) almost all high schoolers (especially my sister whose in HS and her friends) have all these flashy neon yellow/pink/green converse and nike high top sneakers that they wear with leggings and skinny jeans. Its a weird new fashion trend among teens. Even my cousin who goes to Georgetown in D.C. has bright yellow high tops (i think they are butt ugly) but she wears them a lot with all her 50 pairs of skinny jeans.

I think Katrina is beautiful. But she can’t pull the entire look off specifically here because:

    A. She is not young enough (by young i mean TEENAGER or in College);

    B. she doesnt have that whole grunge/hipster vibe to her. I think she’s a bit too chic to pull this off.

I think she’s just following a trend that is really popular among hipsters, teenagers and certain sect of young hollywood. Maybe she’s getting influenced by Imran Khan herself. They are working on a movie together.

  14. @SAH, I know what you mean, but for starters, half of those trend sneakers aren’t even cute, and

    IT DOES NOT MATCH.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m a fierce detractor of the “Must match my shirt my purse my earrings my makeup my life to my new pair of sneakers”, but she’s wearing red and dark blue with neon green, pink, and black (ugly) sneakers. Fail.

  15. well atleast she’s event appropriate…its a sport thing so she’s wearing trainers….but other than the shoes i think she looks great.

  16. hahahaha. Comments on this are funny. Katrina always look so picture perfect, but fashionista she is not. Blingy bright sneakers have been a trend since forever, but that doesn’t that every bright sneaker will look good. This shoe had potential that was ruined by the flashy nike flap. Also it’s too obviously a copy of Fish Fry shoes.

Totally agree with SAH, you either need to be a teen to wear these and look good, or have a personality like VJ Juhi, Koel PUrie or heck any random girl in Indian cities with an understanding of these kind of flashy shoes.

  17. how embarrassing!! trend or not.. they look ridiculous on her. i’ve seen them here in the US but they’re just not her thing.

  18. I live in Hong Kong and almost all the teenagers wear these kinds of shoes and they look good, you need an attitude to pull them off and katrina is looking silly.

  19. @ jiji – babe i don’t think katrina is pulling off those shoes either…lol. sad coz she’s such a pretty thing. just goes to show just because your pretty doesn’t mean you’ll look good in whatever you wear.

  20. Am i the only one who thinks she is looking nice here.. she carries it off.. its funky and crazy!!
It’s a sporty event,, don’t expect her to wear heels over here……
And yeah, I saw other pics from the event and the shoes did not look so flashy in those snaps.. the radium and pink did not flash as they do here,,, so maybe i’m giving an opinion based on that!!

  21. uumm.. I don’t know… but Kat looks always so stunning.. 🙂 I love her 😀 I mean the way she is…

  24. I’m sorry I just have to say this, don’t mean to offend or anything, but the comment:

“just goes to show just because your pretty doesn’t mean you’ll look good in whatever you wear”

It made me laugh so much because in this case we’re talking about shoes not an outfit, and your “pretty face” can never help shoes look good on you. Head and feet are just way to far away from each other! lol 🙂

But all said and done, nobody looks great in everything/colour! everyone has a flaw.

  25. kismet – my comment “just goes to show just because your pretty doesn’t mean you’ll look good in whatever you wear” was meant for the ENTIRE outfit and not just the shoes, and btw and outfit doesn’t only mean the clothes but it consists of the clothes, shoes, purse ie the entire look makes up an outfit. shoes are very much part of the “outfit”…otherwise people wouldn’t spend so much money in cordinating their clothes and shoes, if someone is wearing the perfect dress with ugly shoes it spoils the whole look. of course no one is perfect and everyone has a flaw but it sure is a misconception that if someone is pretty they can pull of anything they wear even if the outfit is miscordinated…hence my comment.
