Keeping It Simple

If this was a PR event, I would have gushed over this appearance of Katrina. I love the pairing of the cream dress with the gold sandals and no-jewellery look. A really simple look that works wonders for Ms. Kaif.

Except, let’s not forget this was a wedding reception.

    • 100% agree. P&P your comment was bang on and hilarious. True style is knowing how to dress for different events. If she showed up at my reception like this I would be pissed.

  1. She looks like she woke up, wrapped her blanket around herself and came to the reception! What is there to like in this dress??

  2. she looks very pretty as usual, but so not appropriate for an indian wedding. This type of outfit is more suited for a british/american summer church wedding or something. Totally wrong!

  3. So what if it’s a reception? should everyone be wearing only glittery Indian wear? she looks good–good enough for the event.

  4. Considering what Rani Mukherjee turned up in – Kat looks lovely! Maybe a bit of bling (Gold hoops + Clutch) could have made her look more weddingy 😉

  5. Nicely done but not enough for a wedding. This is one time when the adage “underdressed than overdressed” didn’t wash.

  6. too bland for a wedding event. Although i have to say that cream color is a tricky one. It would make fair people look fairer and would make wheatish skinned look much darker

  7. I dont agree ……. its a reception not the wedding , so the dress seems to be fine for me. Saree or Salwar kameez is not some dress code. People just follow it.

  8. a fab for me and the shoes are right kind of bling.. honestly, it’s the reception, not the actual wedding so it’s compulsory to be all desi.

  9. Totally inappropriate for the occassion. If someone’s taken the pain to invite you for their function, its only right that you make an effort to dress up a little. She and Rani look completely out of place. Arbaaz Khan came for my cousins reception wearing cargo pants and i found it offensive…being a filmstar doesn’t mean anything goes! She wears enough blingy saris and gowns in real life so why not here?

    • i think she has made good effort . Its better to wear a dress like this than wearing a saree in a completely disgraceful manner (we have historical posts on that :D). Its an evening dress , not a gym cloth or something that it would make any one offended.

i log in today to see that i havent really missed much…not a single wow look….even sonam disappointed by pairing that dress with those fugly pair of jeans….
you know PnP the city i was in i saw some awesome clothes/designs/accessories on the streets/cafes/metros…i was so tempted to click n maybe you could have done a non-celeb street fashion(n they would beat most of our desi celebs by a mile)post…but then i resisted 🙂

  11. WOW just thought about this …doesn’t Katrina look like Robin from How I met your mother? There is some similarity at least in this picture.

  12. A very bland look for the occassion, well who wants her to be in bollywodd /Manish Malhotra’s eek blingly style but atleast you ‘d have th’s much of a dress sense of how to go to a Hi-T or a wedding party …

Maybe she came from her films promotional event… that’s the only acceptable excuse for this in appropriate appearnace
