In Sabyasachi
Karisma also joined Kareena at the opening ceremony of the International Children’s Film Festival but while the latter did a lot of color, Karisma went the regal route wearing a Sabyasachi sari with a matching long-sleeve blouse.
It was a classic look and one that I really liked! You?

So very classy indeed!
Hi Sonam, Please note this is how you do a Gayatri Devi inspo. Kthxbai.
+1
So regal. Why wasn’t she in PRDP?
The promotional looks would have been phenomenol . We wld get to see such regal looks and not Donald Trump of Fashion.
Donald Trump of fashion!!! OMG, you are a genius to put it like that. So perfectly appropriate.
LOL! Donald Trump of fashion⦠love your comment, ada!
“DONALD TRUMP OF FASHION”. LOL, can’t get any lower than that!
Haha seriously.. This is perfection.
Sidenote: Why don’t we see more of Karishma, Madhuri, Tabu, Kajol, Juhi, Sridevi and scores of other talented actors on screen more? Especially when they look like THIS.
Why do we have to watch saggy, dopey looking male actors of over 50 yrs of age, with co-stars closer to half their age?
This look can easily make someone look boring or aged but on karishma…she looks so elegant in last pic..she can make anything work..
Perfect as usual, and as usual ends up looking more regal than her sister, even though I love the outfit kareena wore to this same event.
Lovely! Those earrings and the clutch are the perfect accesories to the sari.
Wow! Absolutely stunning! So elegant! Love it!
Perfect from head to toe, LOVE!!
Something is amiss in this look. May be a bindi would have done the trick… Need bit of color
So stunning! She looks regal!
Royalty personified, regal elegent, chic, classy in every sense of the words!
This saree looks similar to Abu Jani or Kotwara but does have a Sabyasachi touch! I am going to purchase it!
So fuss free yet not boring. She looks stunning.
Absolutely lovely! This is so perfect. Nailed the royal look.
This is how you nail a princess look !
Sooooo elegant and classy.
A tiny Bindi would have elevated this look
Love!!
Mashallah!
Karishma Hyderabadi shehzadi lagri..
Regal done right. Classic!
Haha you brought back such typical Hyderabadi memories !! π
Shukriya Nawazish! π
Stunning elegant sophisticated classy. Sonam should take lessons from her. Perfection.
And again she shows how to do CLASSY.So regal. While so many like Vidya Balan does saree (Sabya) with long sleeves day in and day out, can’t ever match this elegance or class EVER.
Not just Vidya Balan, none of the current lot or younger lot can match Karishma’s elegance and class. They all are busy copying each other in a race.
Yes all the young’uns need to take a note of. I am mainly making the point because only Vidya Balan does saree-long blouse combo every single time and never look this regal or classy ever. She makes a sabya look bad with sloppy drapes, unkempt hair, cheap accessories. Plus she is not in her 20’s or a newbie in bollywood to not know the ropes. Others do several other looks, cookie cutter maybe in the rat race but at least not the same thing just because it is safe to do so.
Being classy is a personality trait, just clothes can’t create that π
She looks lovely, but…..I’m aware I’m in the minority here, but it’s a children’s film festival!! Surely a bit of color and a more “fun” outfit would not have been amiss?
Agree. Though she looks STUNNING, it was a children’s film fest, after all.
I didn’t notice the event until you pointed it out ’cause I got carried away by how stunning she looks. I quite agree with you. Not the best for a children’s event…
Is the clutch Sabyasahi too?
So elegant! Love it!
Zubeidaa π
Indeed yes.
Exactly my thoughts π
Appropriate for a Children’s festival event? I think not. She looks great but it’s an overkill
I feel a little skin show in the hands or waist belongs to a saree. Unless weather demands covering up. We are not living in Afghanisatan afterall.
+1
These kind of long sleeves and covered waists were traditionally meant for really old women.
No royal under the age of 80 would be wearing something like this, so I disagree with P&P here. It is not the “regal way”.
Covering up is Afghanistan?.it’s a crime?
Oh ignorant one.. That is the stupidest thing to say.
If you can’t help make everything a political / moral / religious, I can help you with that.
Here are some reasons to cover up whether Afghanistan, India or US:
– Expecting to be in an overly air-conditioned / cool place (as most theaters are)
– This is the only blouse she had that went with the saree.
– Haven’t waxed / shaved, or have a rash
– Actually liked the friggin’ outfit !!!!
Try to comment on fashion and not be some reverse moral police.
*thing
Agree with all your reasons. Even if you keep those reasons aside, she looks chic with that full sleeve blouse without looking matronly.
Exactly.. I was just mentioning other reasons because of the stupid comment above.
I’m a sucker for retro looks. You have so many much younger actors abroad doing retro and doing it right. Emma Stone and Blake Lively are my all-time favorites.
Wish more people back home would try such amazing looks, without looking 20 years older than their age.
I love retro looks too when done right. Emma Stone and Blake Lively are my fav too. π
They are beautiful and dress beautifully.
Forget about the silly comment, Sup. It is just a matter of their bias and also of course hypocrisy (the same commentator will make a hue & cry over some cleavage). And don’t forget how the person has mentioned “a little skin show”(only) lol.
Regal! She can pass for royalty in this outfit.
Wow. She looks stunning here.
