Kareena covers Filmfare’s latest issue and for the magazine’s unveiling/launch, picked a Soup by Sougat Paul sari. An interesting choice; props for stepping away from the predictable.
But… While we were happy to see a look that stood out to us on the runway make it’s way off-the-runway, do wish Kareena had worn the sari the way it was presented. By not wearing the pallu under the harness, the look in the color-block sari became same ol’, same ol’.

I LIKE THE SAREE !!!! but i think she is wearing it a bit too low waist…that she herself look uncomfortable..( in last pic of second row the inner fold of saree is actually hanging out)……She is looking pretty and i would like to see what difference a set of 24 Blue bangles can make to this look 🙂

First off props to her for not sticking to her fav MM or going the Sabya way like evryone else…I really like the way the saree is draped on her and the way it accentuates her curves..but yes agree with the pallu under the harness thing…Lastly she looks absolutely Gorgeous…

Personally I’m glad she chose to drape the pallu more conventionally – the sari has plenty of interest points with the color blocking, the printed blouse and the neckline. The pallu tucked in just takes it across the line of being too much – so it’s perfect that she edited it out.
In fact – the runway look made me go ‘ugh. no’ but she totally sells it to me
I agree. The runway look is almost tacky. I like the way she wore it though i do wish the blouse was a tad bid longer.

Don’t agree one bit P&P. The harness is a minor detail, not a make or break thing..she looks awesome!

Agree 100%. She’s holding her hands so awkwardly ‘cos she feels so uncomfortable. She should’ve followed her instinct – she obviously isn’t comfortable with how much skin she’s showing
I much prefer how Kareena wore the sari over the model’s version; she looks great.
That is one heck of a ugly saree. ONLY Kareena can wear it but even she does not look confident wearing it.

The saree and Kareena looks drop dead gorgeous. The only gripe is with that wee bit of too much skin show, which apparently even she is not comfortable with. The draping could have been tad bit neater.
Kareena looks good but for what it’s worth, I think she should have worn the pallu under the strap. Agree with P&P, “same ol’, same ol”.

Kareena is not carrying off this look well. Such an outfit requires a really toned body. This emphasizes all of her negative points like the pudgy arms and shoulders.
awful. showing her big waist is not helping either. Take fashion risks but always keep in mind first whether one can pull it off or not. she makes the saree look bad.
She looks uncomfortable with her hands trying to cover up whatever the outfit isn’t covering. What’s the white stuff sticking out at tummy in 2nd row 2nd pic?
