Denim Days

It was back to back denim looks for Kareena, first in a Lucien Wang patchwork blazer paired with cropped Bhane denim pants on Wednesday. Thursday, we saw her do vintage in a Spring 2000 denim cropped jacket and asymmetric skirt, both from Dior when John Galliano was the creative designer.

Between the two, the pants look was an instant favorite and credit for that goes a bit to the ponytail. As for the skirt look, the side-swept hairdo was a bit of a snooze.

  1. I like the skirt look more. Those Bhane pants are hideous. I wish Kareena and Sonam would stop wearing such over-sized (ridiculous looking) Bhane clothes. Waiting for you guys to post Sonam’s Bhane outfit with a denim shawl/dupatta thing.

  2. I love the pants…a crisp white shirt tucked in would have worked instead of the hideous jacket. The skirt outfit isn’t so bad but something is amiss. Not bad overall.

  3. Why has filmi fashion come to a point where people are trying their best to look awful? oversize denim pieces, in Mumbai heat and humidity? aur puchne jaoge toh all of them will say, our style is easy breezy!!

  4. That pants and jacket don’t go together. The pants needs a crisp white tee or shirt. And the jacket needs an incinerator. Loving the vintage skirt-jacket combo more, though the jacket sits a little off on her frame.

Loving both the shoes and the styling in the first one.

  5. I saw some insta videos of Kareena in her first look where only her top half (minus the denim part) was visible. I could only make out her hairdo , earrings ,makeup and that she was wearing a suit (because of collar) and was thinking ‘God , finally here is a Kareena look from Veere promotions that I can actually get on with . But now ?! Oh man!!! Both of the looks seem bad to me .

And Kareena has admitted in most interviews that she hates promotional events. I finally get why . If I had to go around promoting my work in such hideous stuffy clothes in Mumbai’s humidity, I’d be pretty pissed too !
