(Always) In Character

Did anyone else think it was funny that for her movie’s screening, Ms. Kapoor stuck to her character’s look?

That aside, more recently, for the promotion of her movie she did change it up a wee bit.

While we love Kareena in red waist-up, not feeling it otherwise. Between the camisole, the churidaar and the kurta‘s design itself, the semi-sheer long kurta cuts her up in so many chunks.

  1. Can’t anything be done for that visible salwar waist band on the blue one?
As for the red, waist down everything seems so wrong, even the chuddidar seems an ill fitting one.

  2. The red kurta had so much potential. If it ended before those strange vertical lines and if the churidar had a better fit this would have been perfect. I get that camisoles are easy and stuff but is it so much more difficult to get a longer cotton slip to go underneath a transparent kurta? I and a lot of other women I know, have a whole bunch of matching slips to avoid exactly this kind of tacky look. Kareena had the same problem in her pink patiala, white kurta in character look that you posted on August 27th.

  3. I dont get sheer kurtas…I just dont get them..its going to look strange if you wear a slip ..and will look strange if you dont….I dont see the point behind them – unless someone knows a great way to wear them…? Im all ears…

  4. The red kurta is quite pretty. However, it’s a fiasco because of the way it’s worn. If the itsy bitsy white slip or whatever it is ( I can’tjudge :P) could have been replaced with a lining, things would have been better. And what’s the deal with multi-shades? :O
The bottoms do not fit her well. Lady, why? why?
