While at an event in Mumbai, Kangana was photographed in a pink floral-print sari. Wearing her hair down, she rounded out the look with a Gucci pearl necklace and pair of silver sandals.
The necklace helped contemporize a classic, vintage-y look. Not much to fault here, Kangana looked nice.

She is just sheer perfection in this saree with her draping, the pink lips, hair and her signature style! Gorgeous.
Her eye makeup hasn’t been done well. Otherwise she looks elegant and stunning as always.

What a garish Makeup ! the foundation is so wrong..looks like pancake on the face. The contouring is done badly too.

Her make up is quite heavy handed but other than that she looks great in that lovely saree.
I wish my mom would have saved her old sarees!! Now I’m drooling more and more on old fashion sarees! Old is gold! Anyways ,make up is too much other then that she is looking gorgeous!
I’m not much of a saree wearer- I actually don’t think all the fabric and draping is a very comfortable and practical choice for the Indian summer and I’m also kind of short so I don’t look great in them anyway.
BUT to your point, I don’t let my mum’s sarees go to waste! I usually make great dupattas out of them to match with my outfits and they look so unique! So far I’ve made a beautiful red and green silk ikat dupatta, a pastel blue and pink chanderi/organza dupatta and two plain benarasi silk ones with borders in yellow and pink.
Saree is saree. Making dupatta out of a saree makes it a dupatta and not saree. Saree not sorry 🙂 Love mommy sarees<3

Ummm M obviously meant that that since they don’t wear sarees, an alternate to preserving old sarees is making a dupatta out of them. Why did it hurt you so much?

On the contrary Saree are great for summer, that’s what I do, I wear pant suit to work in winters and saree in summers and I am not tall either. My job involves walking around a lot and it is absolutely comfortable. You should try wearing them and soon you will get used to it.

That interview is fascinating. And I appreciate Kangana for not donning a Yogini esque look to ‘fit in’. There must have been a temptation to wear a khadi/linen’simple’ saree.
She just saved herself from a cliche. This lady is just comfortable in her skin.

Anyone knows if her saree is from Masaba’s latest collection?
It isn’t.
This is a very common floral printed saree in (I want to say) chiffon or georgette. But could be some kind of silk because of the sheen? In any case, there’s nothing Masaba or any other designer about it- just Kangana wearing it with non chalance makes it unique.
It looks like a floral printed pink crepe silk saree which probably costs under 2000 rupees in a saree shop.

All the elements by themselves are fine (except the make up, which is caked on) but seriously Ranaut needs to get over these lady of the manor looks already. It really seems she’s playing dress up. She does have a great personal style no doubt, but this is a phase.

Also it is so rare to see celebs wearing such simple sarees. Extra points for elevating such a simple outfit with wonderful finishing touches, that too without enlisting a stylist. True fashionista.
