In Louis Vuitton?

Close on the heels of Ms. Kapoor’s appearance in Vuitton, Ms. Ranaut makes one in a different ( Louis Vuitton Fall 2009?) dress paired with an LV clutch. Question though is, does this one works better? (Apart from that forced pout, of course! 😉 )
I, for one, think it is too much for a house party in Mumbai. I wouldn’t mind seeing it at a movie premiere event.
P.S. I do have a wee bit doubt whether it is an original just because we’ve seen Kangana do knockoffs and the puff sleeves on this one seem much smaller than the one on the runway.

Lol,she looks highly ridiculous. The dress (original or knockoff) is not working on Kangana. I like it on the model. Hate that oversized clutch(plus that annoying pout). I just saw her pics on another site. Her *I will keep my legs wide apart* pose is worth a peek for the fun factor.:)
It looks like a knockoff as the fall of the dress and the material doesn’t look quite smooth….
You’re right payapl, i think it is actually a knockoff – even the material looks different from the runway version and there isn’t so much of a bubble effect at the bottom on the runway version in comparison with kangana’s. Maybe she is wearing Rick Roy’s khandala factory outfit?

The original dress material is more deeper and smoother than th one Kagana’s spotting, Kangana’s dress has more texture in it..
I like the dress beter with the red scarfy belt…its gives a very flowy touch to the entire outfit!

yeh i agree..why all the negativity?..she looks beautiful! and all actresses pose and pout for the camera, noone gives a natural look so its hardly a suprise!

i think she looks really good, knock off or no knock off, she is actually one of the only actresses that knows how to look somewhat decent most of the time
I don’t understand why the blame of copying should be put on the person wearing it. She may not even know, her designer’s copying! In any case, she is totally working the dress. Like the hair/shoes with the dress..pretty classy.

Whether it is a knock off or not, it has to be said that Kangana looks fantastic! This look is far more suited to her, than Sonam. On Kangana, it doesn’t look forced, and she is reallly working this outfit. If it a knock off, however, then she really should have given it a miss. I just don’t think our stars should be promoting plagiarists!!

I think Sonam carried it way better than Kangana. I don’t understand why all of a sudden, after being hailed as a fashionista, Sonam is continuously being bashed on this site for nothing. She’s dressing like she always does. Very ,very well. But now, it has become ‘trying to hard’ for all you guys. Jealous much? This pout of Kangana’s puts me off. Also, the fact that this looks like a knockoff is working against this look.

OH MY GOD.. Are you serious?? Stylists in India need to be fired… or hired if Kangana doesn’t have one.. I could never step out in an outfit so similar to what Sonam (or any other actress) just already wore.. and this looks veryyy similar. It’s like what’s the point of making a statement if someone already made it RIGHT before you? If it was an ordinary dress than no problem but this is just.. too funny.
Just playing devil’s advocate here, but it is quite possible that it is an original. Several fashion companies create variations of a dress so that it is saleable. The LV team could have created the saleable versions of the dress in a different fabric more appropriate from winter, and drapes can be reorganized in order for the garment to flatter more buyers. (Let’s face it, how many laywomen can claim an Eastern European high fashion runway model frame? Not even Kangana has one!)
That being said, I love it on her. I think Kangana’s suitable competition for Sonam, because both are highly individual dressers. And the point of the dress being real or fake isn’t really that big a deal when it comes to judging the style from a strictly visual aspect. So many Indian designers are “inspired” by, (ahem plagiarize), the seasonal looks of older European couture houses.

im loving her in this(knockoff/original) the minimal makeup is spot on.. she has a GORGEOUS face!

it is real girls…give it up. this is original lv…i checked at the store. she’s one of the few actresses who can make anything look good…and she’s looking better and better every day…i love how she’s come from this small town and is giving all the big city gurlzzzz a run for their money….hated the celina jaitley look at the same event tho…
