In Sachin & Babi

If there’s a certain kind of look that Kangana owns, this has to be it. A classic (yet with just enough accents to make it contemporary) sheath, fail-safe pumps or sandals and discreet jewelry… And voilà! Right up Ms. Ranaut’s alley.

This recent outing makes the point for us. Wearing a Sachin & Babi dress with Dior earrings and Louboutin sandals, Kangana looked impeccably put together. Not much to fault here!

Event appropriateness? Now that’s something entirely different to chew over.

  1. I hardly ever comment on Kangana’s post because she is my idol and to me, she looks good 9/10 times. I felt like commenting on this look after very long.

I love this look. So immaculate, the black panel and the embroidery on it does remind me of side table mats where you put your landline phone or some classic vase 😛 but overall, it’s such a clean, slick and a sophisticated look. Pumps are synonymous with Kangana (& Deepika) so I like that she chose a different footwear. And and and, LOVE her cheery smile!!!! 🙂

    • That’s the ONLY reason I spare her, because she is your idol BlueBells. 😛 That’s the importance I give you. 😀 Otherwise I would dissect her looks.

      • Omg!!!!! That is a really big thing you said Sapphire. 🙂 That makes us virtual bffs, doesn’t it? And now that I think of it, there is a reason why I chose my name as ‘blue’bells (blue is the key word here) and you as Sapphire, maybe for this day. 😀 Thanks a lot dear!!

But I would like to know your personal take on this look? What didn’t you like? And you don’t like Kangana???

        • I like her in some of her movie roles, but I definitely don’t like her on these pages. If I start dissecting it will be crucifixion, so I’ll leave it. 😛 I was talking on her general posts, not on this particular look.

  2. She looks spectacular, but I wish she had on a tuxedo jacket or something else to make it a bit more event appropriate, especially looking at pix of what others were wearing.

  3. Flawless, splendid, gorgeous. I don’t really agree with event appropriateness comment. I mean its a dress, off shoulder on great body of kangana. I mean i wear strappless top with shorts like every gal to shopping :p even that cud be not appropriate ! Book launch is no longer a geeky event. With starry presence ,we do expect glamour thats perfectly appropriate.

      • I have not read the book- but it’s about feminism! So let’s all support this strong ambitious woman to wear whatever the heck she wants!!! Girl power yo!??

        • She looks beautiful, I especially love the shoes. But there are photos on a few other sites where she is sitting down and the slit of the dress is toooo wayyyy up there, she was looking very uncomfortable.

        • Really feminism is event inappropriate clothing? . Would nt we have condemned it, if it were a man wearing the same. Then why the double standard

  4. She looks damn good..
Of course an addition like a shrug or short jacket would have taken it several notches above as far as event appropriateness is concerned, but I think she carries it effortlessly enough not to draw attention.

  5. it’ not the “sleevelessness”(yes…i made up my own word) that makes this event inappropriate, it’s the ridiculously high slit, and if you had seen a picture of her sitting, you’d know why.

  6. P&P,
Have you guys hired someone else recently to do the fashion commentary? This is just a hunch, but a couple of the newer posts (like this) don’t sound like your tone!
