One to always be well turned out, Kalyani isn’t about to change any of that with her latest appearances. Yes, it’s been a while since we had ourselves some Kalyani Chawla sightings on these pages and this begins to make up for some of it.
Appropriately dressed for the Races, she looked good. But, it was her more laid-back look at the Fashion Week that caught our eye. Love how the necklace, denim jacket and dress all come together… Unexpected and she pulls it off!

The race look is Like she threw everything plus the kitchen sink on in a rush. The FW outfit is nice, but just curious- how do you keep the jacket draped like that all through if it’s part of your ‘look’? Do you move your arms even, or just pose stiffly all evening? Can’t have a drink… I would die 😉

Er. The Denim Jacket hanging off her shoulders like that likes too contrived. She’s ok. Nothing spectacular
And look at the way the jacket is falling. The upper part of her torso is reminding me of Thakur from Sholay.

Disagree-the first look is a big fail on the fit( 1 size too small) + the styling is overdone with that cuff/collar+ the bag and fascinator do not work. The 2nd look is nice nad shes working it.

The dress she’s wearing at the Races looks two sizes too small for her. She also seems to gravitate towards these little girl silhouettes a lot – but given her body type ( busty/curvy), the dresses end up looking tight and ill-fitted!

Both looks are event appropriate and has an easy quality I like. Most of the time, the ladies here look like they are trying real hard. Casual polish can not yet be taken for granted in the Indian fashion scene.
Sometimes wonder is it about the people or the outfits, someone else would have been slain with the race day outfit ….
Its mostly about how you wear anything and the overall impact. She looks cute enough…

like seriously the hat kills the dress. i am all about hats at the races, but this one does does complement the dress. it makes her looks like a wierdo. and such a beautiful woman, what a waste!
