I am willing to bet a million bucks that Kalyani (V.P. Of Marketing, Dior India) went the black ( and a more subdued) gown route to let all her guests shine at the launch event. Didn’t quite work though, because she still came off looking smokin! Simple chandelier earrings and a gold clutch worked wonders to her look.
Deepika also did a very similar look but hers fell so flat and we all know why, don’t we? That lip color is not working for the look!

My jaw dropped when I saw Kalyani! I want to be her…….please.
I think there were two problems with Deepika – the gown does not flatter her figure (and a perfect one she has) and the lipstick should have been red and not maroon.

Check out the other pictures of hers, she is looking better than the whole Bollywood brigade. And the point is she is looking smokin’ in an ordinary gown.

Deepika makes Dior look like Forever21, what with the tacky accessories (that bangle/cuff needs to GO), hair and as always, unflattering makeup.
Deepika’s lip color is the least of her problems. How about that VERY unflattering dress?

It’s the skanky looking ruching on Deepika’s dress that kills it for me. Personally, I like her lips. .
In spite of the ugly dress, Deepika looks good.

Don’t like the hair, clutch, or dress but love the jewelery!
in fact the red lips work, it lifts the entire look.
