Wearing White

Jaya recently emerged in a look that reminded us of Kirron from the Sanjay Dutt Bash.

Who do you think wears their white look better? Considering they were dressed so alike…

  1. Both look nice. While Kirron has been consistently looking fab, this is an improvement for Jaya.
But, what’s with the different colored & mismatched bangles on Jaya?

  2. i actually prefer jaya…i like the fact that she is wearing pearls and has added some colour by way of bangles and bindi instead of going all gold and white.

  3. Kirron for sure
her sari is a little better but i love the sparkly little bindi and her million dollar smile totally tips the scales

  4. I don’t think that the red bangles were a concious decision to accessorize well… many Indians and maybe north Indians in particular wear these red bangles. I like Kirron simply because she looks nice, puts on a smile and has been consistent with her look unlike Jaya.

  5. Kiron wins all the way she looks PERFECT head to toe, so stunning! and young!

Jaya looks good aswell, specially considering what she usual goes for, but still her look is a typical “dadi” look. nothing wrong in that, just compared to kiron doesn’t quite match up, love kiron saree too.

  6. aww this one’s really hard! and i feel bad picking on one! well i think jaya is prettier than kirron. but kirron’s saree (and smile) is better. awww jayaji always reminds me of my mommy!! (ps – my mommy is much younger)

  7. Aren’t Kirron and Jaya around the same age? It’s amazing how differently these two women have aged. I personally find Kirron quite beautiful, but Jaya looks much older than she actually is. That, and the fact that she rarely smiles gives the impression that she’s an unfriendly person.

Anyways, Kirron wins by a long shot. I love the way the sari fits her – letting the pallu hang low on the arm is much more flattering than bunching it at the shoulder.

  8. Way I see it, Kirron Kher is one of those women who looks impeccable in whatever she wears – she looks so ‘young’ that I don’t for once feel like she’s in the older women category. Its hard to explain but she’s full of life and yet has this wordly, experienced sedate vibe about her. Haha.

Jaya, *sigh* almost gets it right except she lacks Kirron’s grace and liveliness. She looks stressed out, lol…. but better than how she usually does.

  9. I prefer Kirron in saris, even compared to the younger brigade. Her draping is always neat, elegant and classy. Other actresses either do that horrible peek-a-boob drape, or else the sari looks like it’s falling off their petticoat.

  10. Whoa, what nasty comments about Jaya. FYI, studies have shown people who smile a lot are not necessarily nicer or happier.

Both ladies look elegant and lovely. Ni need to tear one down to build one up.

  11. there’s stark contrast between kirron’s warmth and jaya’s coldness.

btw, i absolutely love the picture of abhishek that’s on your mtv site right now. he looks so cute clean shaven.

  12. me, that is a very funny comment, you are absolutely right. I prefer Kiran, very few people in bollywood can carry the whole saree look as well as she does. The fact that she is tall helps.

  13. There is something wonderfully elegant and normal about Jaya Bachchan! She has a persona that shines through everything. Her’s is an old world style of quality against bling. Of dressing for oneself vs. dressing for others. I admire that. Her sari is exquisite, yet not statement making. She is so comfortable in her skin – and yet elegant. I don’t know – but seriously, they don’t make women of substance like her anymore!
