In Nithya Lamahewa

At Manish Malhotra’s bash, we were surprised to see Jacqueline in a sari. Surprised just because folks tend to stay away from wearing saris these days at parties, which in itself is an unfortunate case. Given that the dinner was in honor of several international celebrities visiting India, we thought it was a great move to wear a sari and loved the pick.

Her batik print sari by Sri Lankan designer Nithya Lamahewa was quite cute and pairing it with that unconventional numbered blouse showed Ms. Fernandez’s ever present playful mood. She looked lovely.

  1. Ever gorgeous Jackie! It’s so sweet of her to wear a saree. The saree looks great on her hot body. Heck she can look good even in rags.

  2. Argh just like everyone’s tired of Jacquline’s posing, I’m tired of everyone’s complaining

Good Lord…this is just the woman’s personality. She likes to have fun and be cheeky
Who cares? At least she embraces who she is? And it’s not like she’s being overtly sexy or in your face. Let people be happy with who they are. Why must she be like the 55 other actresses with their hand on the hip, legs crossed pose?

Back to this – I LOVE this sari and adore the blouse. Super CUTE!

    • Well said. Exactly. I will post my comment again here :

Jackie is genuinely a very happy, cheery, effervescent, vivacious, flamboyant person with full of life. She is always smiling and playful instead of being serious, fierce and icy. If you sum it all, it’s a good thing right. I don’t think there is anything bad about it.

    • You said it! It’s very clear from her poses that she is happy from within which reflects outside unlike some actresses who give forced looks.

  3. I love the sari and blouse and red is definitely her colour! It is indeed unfortunate that wearing a sari to a dinner party is rare. She looks lovely and I am just going to pretend I don’t see that shoe peaking out of her sari!

  4. If anyone wants to be playful and feel young at heart, I think it is none of our business to tell them to pose or act or grin or smile their age. Why this need to stereotype everyone in a certain manner!!

  5. She looks awesome and I don’t quite understand why others make an issue about her poise? Seems like she is having fun and not taking this celebrity thing serious. Do your thing and rock on, Jackie.
