Sari Style

Comment image 21

The reception saw Janhvi decked up in a Manish Malhotra sari featuring a one-shouldered blouse held together by a teeny strap.

She looked great and I liked her bringing her Tamilian/Telugu roots with the styling here by way of that waist belt. It was glam yet not OTT.

  1. are we looking at the same photo? This scream tacky. So many ways to showcase a sari and your toned body without looking crass

  2. The saree is beautiful, but the outfit is highly inappropriate to wear for someone else’s wedding reception. More so when the someone else is your sister
(yes yes, bring on all the “prude” comments but I’ll die on this hill)

  3. Ugh if only had it not been for that tacky blouse. What a gorgeous saree with perfect pleating and love the waist chain.

  4. it was amazing until you spot a string that’s supposedly a top, it was such a good look just missing a blouse. also very heavy accessorizing.

  5. Tamilian/Telugu roots Payal ? Really? Almost all south brides wear the waist belt ( daabu as we call it in Kannada) . It used to be a standard wedding saree accessory but now non brides also wear different versions of it ( thin daabu , chains, cloth made etc) .

Also , this is a cringe looks , looks good maybe in a movie.

  6. Why can’t she wear a blouse and look appropriate? especially for her sister’s wedding? she is always showing skin, look tacky. Saree is regal, blouse looks “no blouse”. She tries too hard to look something she can’t be.
