Janhvi attended the launch of yet another celebrity jewellery line (this one by Ekta Kapoor and Sussanne Khan) wearing a Miu Miu look. It’s common knowledge I think that Janhvi is angling to become an ambassador for the label but am not sure if this event was worth wearing this look at.

Just that this is a break from all “Peddi’ heavy looks – I like it, Its well put together, except for that blue bag, which looks out of place.
Its a WTHeyy for me. The bag is an eyesore and doesn’t match at all. The heels don’t go either, should have been more on the lines of the model something simpler.

This mui mui craze from the kapoor sisters continues on. I think at some point they should take a break na 🙂 the Short skirts, knee length socks, quirky eyewear and school girl setup gets to be monotonous and becomes a one trick pony
Why would *any*one wear that? Esp Jahnvi, who, never in her life, has tried anything remotely preppy or college cool?
I think she surprisingly carries it off well!
Though she looks fine but looks out of place since the dress seems like from a k-pop school show and she is dressed for a rainy day at school episode.
ps: May be she is trying to connect to Gen Z kpop culture.
i know you won’t post Kangana- but why not ? the saree looks she is sporting – indian handlooms with breathtaking artistry- don’t post for her- post to support the artistry.
Let Payal maintain some illusion of armchair activism, effete righteousness and roleplay integrity. She will post without hesitation hypocrites who wax eloquent about animal cruelty while carrying animal hide leather, glorify and worship the trophy wives of pharmaceutical kingpins who made unethical hyper profits during a pandemic that nearly ended life as we knew it. But no Kangana is a civilizational threat.

I was absent for a good 12 years actually. It’s only last year I started reading your blog again mostly from 2010 nostalgia.
Unfortunately Payal, we don’t come here for you. We come here for the pictures and to engage with the community, esp since I don’t use social media and there aren’t many blogs curating Indian celeb outings. It could be anyone posting these pictures. There is no particular novel insight you specifically provide on fashion for us to miss your take. You have sadly become fat too safe and risk averse for that. Your dwindling engagement is proof. Combined with the migrane inducing strobe effect of ads flashing beneath every picture I had actually re-considered leaving. This seals it I guess. Good luck.
Agree with the Hellenist. If you are a fashion blog, you should be impartial and post everyone. Or at least try to be inclusive. Why would you blatantly ignore Kangana, time after time, when she is sporting interesting looks, promoting handlooms? like SHM above suggested, post it to support the artistry if nothing else. We are all here to create a community, discuss why something works or not. No one is 100% right but to ask a supporter, why they chose to come back is rude and unprofessional. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and if you do not agree with her, say so. It is your platform but you have also made it public and welcomed commentary from all. She is right about the crazy ads…
I used to respect Kangana a lot for her individualistic views but she lost me the day she incited violence. Now, fashion loves to forgive/forget, not me. As for being rude and unprofessional, am surprised I am the one being called rude. But, that’s ok, I have heard it all. Again, this is a team of one, me. I curate the blog posts and it is a mix of what catches my eye and what the folks are interested in. It will continue that way. And the day this venture stops paying for itself, it will get shut down. I have no skin in this game. It is just a hobby. (am still looking into the ad tweaking which I totally get). You are surprised you are the one being called rude?! It seems you still carry an image hangover from the Priyanka days of being thoroughly civil, professional and easy going no matter what. I have seen you’ll being civil to people with far less reasonable points than what Hellenist and shm have made.
I was about to come to your defence when I saw your juvenile, petulant, unceremonious and entitled response to hellenist.
Also Payal, these pompous responses “thak gayi” “I don’t care” can be thrown around about when the forum is your drawing room hosting your inner circle of yesmen. If you have decided to put something out in the public and engage with the community no one cares if aap “thak gayi”. The rules of civic engagement are sacrosanct and you will be called out for hypocrisy, content inconsistency and contradictions. If you aren’t interested in civil discourse and can’t take it you should stop putting yourself up for scrutiny and retire. Don’t wear these other liberal values like shiny decorations if you disapprove of its crowning jewel; debate.
PS: Quoting Kareena is not a good look on anyone with above room temperature IQ. Even in jest. No matter how out of touch with the times and popular culture references you are.

I’ve recently noticed this trend of people being asked to leave this blog if they do not like something. Entire comment threads being deleted. Also the condescending, subtly elitist tone this blog takes on people like Urvashi Rautela. Careful phrasing like “got to admire her hustle” cleverly throwing shade and questioning her presence on an international red carpet. In the meanwhile my comments on Alia’s manic hustle in showing up everywhere and her on-steroids PR shoving her down the nation’s unwilling throat have been censored multiple times.
The tone is getting deeply reverent, cringe in a very Gen X sorta way. Hollow convenient liberal virtue signalling hiding an elitist, wealth and class obsessed core. Like some commenter above said Kangana “incites violence” but Natasha Poonawala, Dolce Gabana and Cult Gaia are fine coz they are too big to cancel.
Your response highlights the double standard. Deflecting a fair critique on editorial bias with “why are you here” isn’t a dignified response for a public platform. This deserves engagement not such cowardly dismissal.
Kareena is great and Kangana is to be discriminated against?? I must say I am disappointed to hear that…but it’s ok. You are entitled to your opinion.
IMO, Kangana is an intelligent person, a great artist, a MP with an opinion and voice (which is okay to disagree on).
I am not a fashion person. I visit this once on a few months just to check up on trends.
But she has been sporting some great Indian designs, local designers who can do with the promotion.
It’s your choice who and what you want to promote, but if I had a platform where I could promote the local design and designers of India …I would consider that a privilege

The thing a lot of Indians have difficulty understanding is, almost all creative endeavors are a joint communal effort. I say this humbly and with fondness.. we the viewers, the photographer providing you pictures, the celebs featured have all been equally instrumental and indispensable in making this blog, building this community. Sure it’s your name up there on the IP and legal paperwork, but if one of the above participants withdraws this falls apart.
