Janhvi attended the screening of Umrao Jaan in a chikansari anarkali from House of Kotwara paired with jhumkis. At first glance, between that sweetheart neckline and the dupatta pleated and placed the way it was, I wasn’t loving it. I think I would have liked it better if she had atleast worn the dupatta more casually. This feels too costumey.

Im old school, so associating something as traditional as a soul core kathak movie with half bare chested neckline isnt my cup of tea.
It is a Kathak – inspired movie. Since Mughal E Azam (choreographed by the Maharaj’s, Acchan Ji), there has no Kathak movie, not even Heeramandi.
Oh she is going to have awful imprint marks atrhe end of the evening with that tight bust.
Not just the dupatta, the whole aesthetic feels forced.
Something about this look feels very artificial. Cant pin point what it is
What a beautiful outfit and look and she looks gorgeous.. she get we know boo by now, why enhance in every outfit though.
When is Jhanvi not costumey. Still waiting for the time when she’s look and feel comfy in regular/ stylish/ nice clothes that don’t look like she’s part of a drama ensemble. even the nose stud feels so fake and not anode to UJ..
really wrong aesthetics – does not look good on her- her proportions are always off- while UJ was sublime – this is Kardashian version of umrao jaan- here – there is no masti in the ankhen- all masti is the busti
Every look of hers has a forced cleavage. Miss the days when she used to wear simple white salwar suits
