Of Lehengas

The Kapoor sisters Janvhi and Khushi attended the Ambani-Merchant engagement party wearing Falguni and Shane Peacock and Manish Malhotra lehengas. Between the two, preferred Khushi here minus that pearl potli. Who did you prefer?

  1. What exactly is your problem with Indian bags? The potli looks good, Sara’s bag also looked good. A bag doesn’t need to be designer to look good.

  2. I truly dont understand why they think it’s okay to dress up this much for SOMEONE else’s function. why are they always trying so ahrd to be the center of attention.

Also do bolly star kids think that the only formal attire you can wear to a desi function is a midriff bearing lehegna where iyour cleavage is front and center? nothing makes sense and I’m honestly so sick of jahnvi, khushi, ananya etc.

  3. It’s the same ol’ template dressing. They have so much access I can’t believe they keep going for lehengas and tiny choli’s every time.

    • They might be start kids but they are also young women trying to find their place in the world. Why pull them down with such harsh comments about their personality and talent?

      • They sure have found their place in the world. They are under the wing of the mighty Boney Kapoor and KJo. I don’t think the comments are harsh, calling a spade a spade is not being “harsh”.

    • Khushi still hasn’t have a release and Jhanvi is not that bad in her craft; if you don’t like their fashion fine, but why to put such harsh comment!!!!

      • It is a bit too soon to judge them on their talent. Khushi has not launched her career and Jhanavi is only a few movies in. Based on her earlier performances, it would have been impossible to predict that Kareena Kapoor was capable of what she did in Udta Punjab. Talent is just the starting point. As for personality, there is room in this world for all types of personalities. Not everyone has to be Ranveer Singh. Sridevi was an extreme introvert.

        • A bit too soon to judge? This is Janhvi’s filmography : Gunjan Saxena, Roohi, Mili, Good Luck Jerry, Ghost Stories, Dhadak. Coming soon ( Bawaal, Mr and Mrs Mahi and possible south films)

Please tell me how this is just a “few movies”. Compare this filmography to a Tritpi Dimri who has a total of 3 movies so far. We know all about her talent. Khushi, We definitely don’t but we will see.

  4. Wow, did they think it is their own engagement ? The bride and groom and their families wore much more subtle looks (both volume and embroidery).

  5. So every wedding I’ve ever been to, the guests are dressed as elaborately if not more so. Why not dress up to the nines to celebrate friends or family getting married/ engaged etc? 🙂

I’m not sure I understand the rule that guests have to be covered up and muted- the bride is always going to be the centre of attention. If the dress code is white or black tie (safe to assume its one of the two)- then why not go all out? When I do eventually get married I would LOVE my guests to just have fun with it and wear their best- it wont diminish anything about the wedding or take away the spotlight from me 😉

  6. This is just the second set of outfits I’ve seen and I’m guessing everyone is gonna to sparkle; the more the better. They both look nice though.

  7. I m not Indian hence these questionS. 1. How would these lehengas be better? More covered tops?
    2. What do you guys wear at weddings and Big functions? Saree? Shalwar kameez is too casual (?). 3. I don’t know how many of the hhc followers are from India or outside India. Could it be an Indian style? To dress like Victoria secret at functions? Whereas people abroad tone it down? OK, too many questions.

      1. Slightly longer blouses with less cleavage. Most people wear lehnga with sleeved blouses too.
      2. Lehngas, Sarees, Suits everything works at weddings

Most people dress modestly/gracefully at weddings. Younger people may wear more revealing but it’s never this much cleavage. Again all this is based of what I have seen in India. Each wedding is different and everyone has a different sense of style
