In Ekaya

Jacqueline attended the Vanitha Awards in Cochin last month wearing an Ekaya sari with jewellery from Amrapali. Given the sari’s distinctive silver motifs, the gold jewellery didn’t seem to work with it. What say you?

  1. The old world saree required only one thing: a sultry carefree attitude. All those jewels, the bag, the armlet, the hair bunnned up so heavily, makes this busy, saree loses its beauty. Jaq doesn’t do so good either in making everything work.

  2. She doesn’t look like herself!

And Jewellery, that bag and hairstyle doesn’t go with that sari a bit. The whole look is disconnected.

  3. The clash of the gold and silver tones is the least of Jacqueline’s problems here. There’s an overload of jewellery (choker, danglers, armlet AND multiple rings) and as if that was not enough, there is that blingy bag, too!

I agree with the comment above, she doesn’t look like herself (at least not in these pics).

  4. If only the silver motifs were muted and non-shiny. And then of course lose the bag and all of the jewelry. Then wear nice, long silver earrings and a black+ silver clutch. She is set!

  5. This is a terrible sighting. Very stuffy right from makeup, jewelry and posing.
Unless Ms Fernandez is trying to compete with Kangana for the Thalaivi audition she should definitely up her choices.

  6. as bad as the mixing metals is to me (i abhor it) I think the hairstyle isn’t working for her either — she was a small forehead but fairly prominent features and the flat-forward style is throwing off the proportions.
the saree by itself is gorgeous. I see it with a muted potli, and subtle silver jewellery, maybe loose hair and it’d look great.
