On The Ramp

While Isha Sharvani walked the ramp for designer Ashima and Leena in Delhi, Giseli and Raima walked the ramp in Mumbai at the Gitanjali sponsored bridal show for Karishma and Monica (owners of the boutique Jade) and Pria Kataria Puri respectively.

Can’t say we loved all their outfits but of the three, Isha was our favorite when it came to styling. After seeing her, Giseli didn’t quite match up and as for Ms. Sen, she was just drowning in all that red. Who is your favorite?

  1. Poor Raima!- she looks like ‘drowned’ in the red just like Pria Puri is always drowned in everything that she wears……
    Love Ishas necklace, outfit “meh”
I actually like Giseli best- the color looks soo good on her!

  2. Love the blue one in the middle! The red is just plain blah …

Isha’s dress looks like somebody has cut one saree and stiched all the borders on a plain blue lehnga .. and the rest of the saree was used in the blouse.

  3. I think Giseli looks the best..love the colour of her outfit. What is so creative about Raima’s outfit ? have seen such sarees & lehengas so many times in saas-bahu serials.
Isha looks nice but her out is blah.

  4. I liked Giselles look best.Though Ishas top /blouse is very pretty and can be used as a top itself with jeans etc.Her lehnga is very flowy.Giselles lehanga is more structured and i just want her pearly necklace..

  5. Are you kidding?? .. Giselli looks the best here .. forget styling , Isha;s dress looks a local tailor made – nothing designer about it .. and the hair do not go with that outfit !!

  6. I definitely think that Isha’s look is the most interesting (and the most traditionally ethnic, you know how I am on that) but it’s not flattering at all.
Giselli’s outfit reminds me of what 12 year-old girls wear and Raima looks like Christmas

  7. the way Giselli’s carrying her clothes is slightly stilted (Maybe she just lacks a certain gracefulness/femininity.. not sure)… the combination of that with the ethnic clothes looks off to me for some reason. The dress it self isn’t that great.. it’s unique factor is the colour while the rest has all been seen before.

No comments on Raima.. though I’m sure she’s wearing the most popular kind of bridal clothing.

I think what Isha’s wearing is quirky.. though the structure of the skirt looks a bit off overall it still works for me.. The big piece of jewellery contrasts well with the dress.. Her hair is a bit of a downer.. too flat on the top.

  8. how is pria kataria puri a designer? none of the outfits have any originality nor any wow factor. mediocre pieces that seem to come from an export shop in hill road. the color, design, silhouette, embroidery of giseli’s piece is SO not innovative. it’s like i’ve seen it before for one of my cousin’s weddings. 10 years back.
