Wearing a Prabal Gurung gown, Isha attended the Met Gala 2019 on Monday evening. Yes, it was safe but then we’re also talking about Ms. Ambani. Never seen her step out of her comfort zone.

    • Reminds me of a nita Ambani interview where she mentions how all the ladies were once going nuts over her string of pearls when it was actually a fake that cost about 200 bucks lol

    • I think the two huge rocks side by side is pretty camp. Nita and ranveer would be so much more appropriate at this year’s MET! Nita ambani from Isha’s wedding is soo camp

  1. How exciting, a bridal gown!!! That said, she is not in the entertainment industry so perhaps doesn’t feel the need to adhere to a theme and be adventurous.

    • My thought exactly. I also think she represent a class/status where she cannot opt for such fun/scary or may be idiotic look, may be in a private party she can but not at a event where there is media.

    • Well didnt they donate a large sum to Met? And wasnt Nita some kind of honoree of something at Met?

Doesn’t fit the theme I say! Nice gown, better saved for another event. or addd a lot of feathers to make somewhat adventurous?

    • Sure, why not? Met gala is about fundraising not honoring. And rich kids of rich parents, of Isha’s calibre at least, go on to be bigger achievers.

  2. Her people must have missed the ‘camp’ memo. Met is the time to be fierce and go hard or go home. There were women there more than twice her age with punchier gowns than this. Nothing wrong with wearing an Indian designer, but why not choose an edgier contemporary look?

  3. That gown has ostrich feathers. I feel so bad…hope the ostriches were not killed to make them.
Yes, I’m aware of the atrocities that Birkin produces (skin of all animals) and the ethics around fashion in general…but this seems so wasteful. The feathers look so out of place and it saddens me to think some ostrich gave it’s life to end up on a non consequential dress. Just have artifical feathers na, why up the ante by just using an exotic bird.

  4. As lovely as she looks…this is literally a plain gown with some feathers tacked on here and there to “honour” the theme. But I really feel with a theme like camp, you either do it or you don’t. There’s no in-between.

  5. I know it doesn’t fit the theme but I absolutely love this shade of lavender, and also the slender necklace with the big diamond. Let’s not judge the size of the rocks, we would all be wearing them if we had the same kind of money (my opinion so please don’t be offended).

  6. Think about it. If you had all the money in the world, where would you waste your time? At the MET gala, because why not?
