In Neeta Lulla

We’ve seen Hema Malini do this before… wear something from a collection that hasn’t even hit the runway yet and that’s exactly what she did at the Neeta Lulla show again.

Seen in a sari from the designer’s latest collection, Hema Malini didn’t quite make the impact she usually does. The monochromatic beige absolutely washed her out; between the long sleeves, the sari and the bag, there was just too much of beige for the eye to take in!

  1. i think if the sleeves were shorter, the silver border wasn’t as shiny and she had a different color bag, it would look much better…i am not a fan of this whole ‘net’ sleeves and churidaars at all..i think she still does look beautiful..

  2. I see that the colour did wash her out abit.
Not fan of the saree but i’m loving the blouse with the thick border at the wrist, it makes the arm look very slim.

  3. Ok yea I agree about the bag. But that sari is SOOOO pretty!!! I love it. I want it. The border is divine.
It doesn’t seem too youngish but I think I can pull it off 😉 (I’m 21).

  4. Bag should have been silver. Her arms are so slim for her age! Heck, her arms are slim for my age. I’m jelly. I also feel, her blouse is tailored exquisitely.

  5. The bottom line of this story is – MS. NEETA LULLA MUST TAKE A BREAK. perhaps this will revive her creative side and make her come out with better designs.

  6. What a dowdy sari…. the colour, the yards of awful fabric, silver border, the full sleeve blouse, matching bag, chunky gold necklace, the hair…. .. I wouldn’t care if she wears anything which hasn’t hit the runway yet and is designed by Neeta Lulla. The designer is stuck … (I don’t know where). I like Hema for her simple and elegant looks but not this. The 1st pic from the collection…. what is that supposed to be?? I don’t think that it needs a lehenga. If the remaining three are saris then I am not at all liking the blouses.

  7. One reason why I like the Indian attire is for its COLOURS.Anything too pale or beige never works for me,I SO wish she had some splash. And yes shorter sleeves please, though she looks beautiful any day :).

  8. I don’t think she makes an impact in any case. The lady lacks any personality. She looks and is pleasant in certain (VERY FEW) roles because she’s learnt how to make them work. But then who wouldn’t after so many years give a few (count on one hand kinda few) convincing performances.
