In Harmony

We’ve spotted Dimple Kapadia before with the Tod’s New D-Bag Media tote and now, have spotted Tod’s Restyled D-Bag Shopping Media tote (a slightly different version) on Jaya Bachchan, who by the way, wore a beautiful ‘chikan’ work salwar-kameez to the Harmony awards. An Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla creation we think. We love.

  2. The work is no doubt fabulous but the colour does nothing for her. Also she looks overwhelmed by too much fabric. Needs cleaner lines and a smile wouldnt hurt either.

  3. oh damn…she stopped smiling! i think the last two times i seen her here, shes been smiling, so even if the dresses werent awesome…least she was smiling!

and @anks…this site has a lot on her. try the search button. 😀

  4. It’s Not Horrible, which is still an improvement from her recent dresses. However, it’s still plain. I think the problem is mainly that she hasn’t draped it properly, which makes it look careless and messy.

  5. is she carrying a python version? i have to say, as practical as these bags look, i would much rather pay over $1000 for a chanel or a bottega or gucci rather than these.

  6. Am I imagining it, or does Jaya look irritated/annoyed/depressed all the time. I get depressed seeing her 🙁

I went through the Jaya Bachchan archive on this website – and I liked most of her salwar-kameezes, but she looks like a unsmiling plain Jane in all of them. I dont mean to pick on her, but if you are Bachchan and expect (and in most cases, you are) to be treated like demi-gods..then you HAVE to put more effort in how you look. A nice smile here and there would do wonders for her image.

The dress would have looked great on Dimple.

  7. She’s got this pissed off look about her, which to her credit is really more her than the fake smile she was spotting in the earlier pictures posted on this site.

About jaya and her fashion sense, the less said the better. Some people can never be fashion icons.

  8. Dress IS nice..but the way she wears it..it ends up looking boring and ill-fitted..like someone said. burkha types.
I don’t like the bag.Kolhapuris are nice. She still doesn’t look even ‘pleasant’- forget ‘classy’. I guess fashion just doesn’t work for her.

  9. Love the fabric! Love that chikan work.

Too much fabric though. She looks like a TENT…. no, a whole wedding shamiana and the cooking tent next to it.

Her sourpuss look and bad attitude in public pretty much kills any charm the best designed outfit would give her. I am not even looking at her pictures anymore.
