The last time you covered him was way back in 2017. He deserved better from all of us. Actually Vivek Oberoi was correct and said it best – we didn’t deserve him. I hope he’s reunited with his mom and his brilliant beautiful soul is in eternal peace.
Well said. This comment resonated with me. I feel we as a community failed him and several others. We cant recognize the pain an individual is going through because we are so blindsided by so many other so called pleasures of this world
2017! Which makes one feel that the same over exposed folk keep appearing everywhere. The blog has to make money I guess but it would be truly interesting if it went further than rotating posts on the “in” crowd who are set up as some kind of style icons for us to follow.
True there is barely any male representation. However given wall to wall SAK for Kedranath I assumed he was covered.
Its not my business to say what a blog should feature. However as a reader I get the feeling that HHC like much of the mainstream media and promoted social media covers the same lot. Though I do give you credit for featuring South folk and the occasional newbie. But in terms of what is around me, TV shows, streaming shows, a multitude of films, regional entertainment, the focus on these few is very narrow and imo pushes a certain idea of beauty, style and celebrity on us. Not blaming you particularly but the whole scenario which has evolved from light hearted reviewing of a jumble of things to more or less promoted content.
A beautiful man with a beautiful mind. You were way beyond the superficialities of all the trappings of stardom. Talk about leaving behind a legacy and inspiring legions of those daring to push the envelope. RIP and keep shining wherever you are Sushant Singh Rajput!
Two very talented and self made actors who came from scratch passed away in Hindi film industry… Irfan Khan and Sushant Singh Rajput. Now what’s left in Hindi industry? Sushant was a bright engineer too, who shined in studies. Gone too soon.
I wasn’t sure how true the rumours that Sushant had been shunned from the industry for the last few months were. But nothing explains why he hadn’t been covered by HHC in the last 3 years. At all. Chichore promotions saw Shraddha and him promoting the movie- and she has been covered numerous times but Sushant hasnt. No wonder he felt like he didn’t matter anymore.
I hope we se more of self made actors on this blog from now on. Seeing Janhavi/Alia/Ananya seem to jarring given the unfairness of it staring right in front of us so glaringly.
I agree. I am actively going to click on non-star-kids content to let social media algorithms know of my newer-more-aware taste (which are here to stay!) and give me content i want.
Good call on removing the other ode. I found it rather insensitive.
What did it say, if I may ask?
Just like we dedicated our daily puzzle to Rishi Kapoor and Irfan Khan, we also dedicated the Sunday puzzle to Sushant but removed it.
Finally ! Good to see an acknowledgement from you . Well said – a fine young man gone too soon .

The question is why couldn’t he find peace on this earth while pursuing his dream.

And yes RIP SSR. Gone too soon.
We haven’t been able to cover men for a very long time. It wasn’t just Sushant.

Rest in peace Sushtant. You were too beautiful.
He was a tremendous talent and showed such compassion with his other interests. I am still in shock and cannot wrap my head around it.
Thank you for doing a better ode on this fine actor. The jigsaw was a bit lazy and insensitive.

Why did, what he did nobody knows. All we can do is mourn for his loss.
I remember you from ‘Pavitra Rishta’. Gone too soon Sushant. RIP.
