P&P could you please ID the clutch that Gauri Khan is carrying in this post on your blog? I can’t find it anywhere and am sure you ladies would be able to help!

Thanks
Vrinda

Gauri Khan At Manish Malhotra Fashion Show

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Vrinda, Gauri Khan was carrying a Valentino clutch… It was a special edition clutch released celebrating the revered house’s 45th Anniversary celebrations!

Typically, not a fan of rosettes, and yet I like how its all come together in this clutch; especially how it stands out against the black of Gauri’s dress. 🙂

  1. YUM!!! YUMMY!!! I looove this clutch… its got this, I dunno, old-school quality about it. Something I’d imagine Hema Malini to carry in the 70s. I’m a geek.

  2. aw shame. i’m assuming vrinda likes this purse, way to go shoot her down p&p, by saying that you should probably hate it!

  3. lol@PeachBellini. P&P are just trying to give hints– on how to color coordinate–to wear a black outfit with this clutch. 😉

On Gauri ,it’s not photographed well making it look flurry. Upclose,i like it. But no way i would carry one.Maybe for my mom.

What I meant was it was a clutch I would normally hate (rosettes, pearl accents?) but I don’t! Coz it somehow comes together really well!

    Anyhoo…

  5. loves it! the contrast between the black outfit and the red clutch is so pretty. Kinda like having red lips on a monochrome outfit.

  6. It’s a beautiful bag but it should be worn with a formal dress or gown. Gauri does not do it justice with her casual look and shiny makeup.

  8. haha no worries priyanka, i was just trying to be a wiseass 😉

i actually think this clutch is do-able, if it weren’t for the pearl accents. hope vrinda manages to get her hands on it.

  9. Ummm…the clutch sorta kinda reminds me of those red velvet “thrones” that were very popular in weddings in the 90’s. Ahh…childhood memories ;P

  10. Would you all stop saying “oily”, that stuff is the moisturizer she’s using, it makes her face shiny. Face wise she looks really good but that’s too much black in all that dress for that little red bag to do anything significant. Alone though, yeah, the bag is really nice.

  11. Not sure about you guys but Valentino’s line of bags this season are to die for. The bags are almost orgasmic beautiful….no they ARE orgasmic beautiful ….with lots of detailing like rosettes (especially rosettes), pleating etc…I think even minimalists like me would fall head over heels in love. They are just so chic, beautiful, elegant without looking too girly…
I mean aren’t you getting bored of the usual croc/patent permutations and combinations?

  12. Given the grandeur of the clutch, I would have paired it with a more formal, but still understated navy dress. Gauri’s perpetually shiny skin is something that perhaps is the result of botox, which tends to give that slightly oily look. But I could be mistaken, as others have mentioned that light-reflecting makeup causes the same effect. Either way, I would love for her to develop a more matte look with thicker, more natural brows. She’s an attractive woman with strong features that are unfortunately overshadowed by bad makeup choices.

@Divya: 😀 If only clothes/accessories were truly capable of inducing orgasms: the world’s population of males would be rendered obsolete! Jokes aside, I, as someone who gravitates toward classic cuts and deep, rich colors, love this clutch. I actually prefer my clothes to be the backdrop for more expensive accessories.
