Gauri attended the NMACC festivites first wearing a metallic shimmery gown from Tarun Tahiliani and then in a white sari by Manish Malhotra. Given that Suhana wore a corset gown whose boning was on point, Gauri should’ve picked something else. The non-rigidity in hers was distracting.
No complains about the sari. She looked nice in it.

She looks good in the mm saree but that posing is a complete downer and the tt “saree” is just plain bad on all levels.
Out of curiosity why do they drape the saree pallu so long that they have to hold it in their hand ?
Exactly!! How do they move their hands freely, I wonder?
50 years ago, the pallu barely came down to the hip. See old pics. Then, when I started wearing, 30 years ago, fashion was to keep pallu to around the knee level – this was after pleating and pinning. If not pleated and pinned and draped around the arm, the arm has to stay up such that the pallu doesn’t drag on the floor. Now, to pose for snaps, they puddle the pallu around the feet. I would love to see shots of how they walk with all this puddled fabric, let alone go to the loo

dont like either outfit.. Gauri manages to carry off the sari well. Neck up she looks fab

Just like flying – once you finish the red carpet pics and enter the venue – they should give people PJs to change into and be comfy for the event!
