In her white denims and a one-shouldered top, Gauri was photographed at The Charcoal Project. A top knot, bright lip, platform pumps and a Tom Ford clutch finished out her look.
Love the lip color on her but between the brown-toned accessories and white-blue of her clothes, it just felt excessive. Given that we weren’t fans of the top to begin with, wish she had picked a button-down chambray shirt instead. Would’ve had no complaints then!

Is the top flimsy? Even my rheumy, aging eyes can tell there was a tad more exposed (than intended) at the chargold event. Let me guess, this is a new runway trend: dress in a mirror less room, wear the flimsiest top money can buy and then hold on to an oversized clutch for dear life. Genius all around 🙂

After reading your comment I noticed how flimsy is that top! Woah..oh dear lord didn’t she have mirror or somebody told her..
That justifies the awkward posing with the bag!
Why is she holding that bag so awkwardly – we know it’s a “clutch”! It makes her look self conscious – I mean if she is then so be it none of my beeswax but found the pose quite odd otherwise!

I actually love how she looks. for a change, she isn’t looking tacky!
I feel like Gauri is generally pretty tacky. I’m sure she’s a lovely woman but never liked her clothes much.

I wish Gauri would go a classier route, instead of doing a Malaika. Her stylist doesn’t seem to have a clue.
