Match Much?

Comment image 31

At first glance I hated the neck detail on this (Lina Tipnis?) dress on Gauhar. That combined with the red accessories made me not like the whole look. But, am still on the fence, because irrespective of the ‘match-much’ and the neck frill, Gauhar still looks pretty great in red. I wish she had worn white t-straps instead of the red ones. It might have helped in pushing me onto the ‘like’ side of the fence. What say you about Ms. Khan’s outfit.

  1. Like the dress.. like the dress on Gauhar.. her makeup her hair .. but agree theres just too much Red. maybe the shoes and the clutch cld have been a differenet / contrasting colour to break all that red..

  2. have to disagree with PnP…this dress is a disaster…toom much going on- open back, neck frill, silly embroidery on the bum…overkill. the girl is really pretty but this look is awful. Alos, i don’t think “white” t-straps would’ve been better. I think they would’ve been even worse than the red t-straps- a nude/ pale gold sandal may have been the saving grace!

  3. I think this whole outfit is a disaster! The shiny silk red, with the tacky emellishments, OTT frills, and ofcourse to top it off with the matchy matchy shoes and clutch! Surprised you guys were ‘on the fence’ at all on this!

  4. The frill reminds me of Queen Victoria’s era and thought I don’t like the front, I do like the back. Not a big fan of the red shoes, its just way too much RED. However, she looks great.

  5. How drop dead gorgeous can one be? A classic case of personal style/confidence making a bad clothing choice, effective. The dress is a definite WTHey for me, but she’s totally working it!

  6. well too much red! personally I’m scared to wrap even a piece of red scarf so you can well imagine how dreadful I find the entire outfit…way too scary!! nothing less than a jester :p
She could have made it subtle by bringing in some black colors…like black shoes, clutch, earrings!! This would have toned down the dress a bit…

  7. i seem to be in the minority but i love the dress – and she pulls it off!
agree about too much red in terms of accessories though

  8. No No..mujhe toh nahi accha laga….Im all for red…but nothing except her face is looking good here….looks like an 80s actress here…which is too bad since she has a real pretty face, great body and is tall too….

  9. The dress does have some interesting elements to it – I’ll grant it that. I wish the designer has just stuck with one detail though, instead of serving it all up in one dress. Edit, edit, edit!

  10. I have to agree with the minority- she is working the look… even the frilly neckline ( I guess having a lovely long neck helps).
All the red is definitely making it a match much- a contrasting shoe & clutch would have been better but somehow, I feel like she pulls it off 🙂
