  1. Cover looks ok – it is pretty but unexciting.
Miral looks really promising – Freida has definitely made some good movie choices post slumdog.

  2. there is something so earthy and grounded about her face! I like. And what’s not to love about those earrings. All emerald earrings remind me of Julianne moore’s BVLGARI ad….drooooool

  5. Pinto has an effortless international beauty. Her looks transcend geography and she has an amazing screen presence.she is getting all these big budget films(Rise of apes and immortals) mainly due to her latina look.

    • Latina look??? She looks like the NOrth Indian girl-next-door to me!! Far less international than say, Ash Rai or Diana Penty or Lisa Haydon or Neha Dupia. Why cant we just accept that the world can appreciate good-looking, desi, dusky women?

      • Many in america does think she look like latina. If u don’t believe me just look at her imdb message board. Most of the posts are like she look like mexican, brazilian etc.She is also playing the role of mexican women in Rise of apes and Greek in immortals.Do u think a big production company like fox studios(Rise of apes) and universal pics(immortals) would cast her as greek or mexican women if she look like indian girl?

  7. Hmm I thought lovely but unexceptional.

Then I hopped on over to check Instyle and saw Scarlett looking ghastly (is that even possible). And a heavily photoshopped Freida spread.

Then I thought thank you T.

And seriously there needs to be a movement against magazines that take perfectly pretty girls and turn them into identical fembots in identical styling.

  8. beautiful!! the picture might appear ordinary to some people but actually thats the best part because im sick of looking at over exaggerated photoshoping of pictures where we look and admire faces that doesn’t even exist in real life.

      • Hi, I doubt that’s the case..I think PArveen Babi/ Zeenat Aman..one of those two was on the cover of time magazine..or some international mag.
        I am not sure though!

        • Parveen babi and aishwarya appeared only on the cover of Asian Times magazine.Freida pinto is actually the first south asian to be featured on the cover of famous american fashion magazine.

  10. hardly anything to like on/about the cover … she is ordinary and i don’t see any charm or even elegance for that matter… if i need to look at ordinary, i would look around and see at the prettier faces in my office … why spend on a mag?

  11. So earthy, so natural and classy. This is indeed a fresh approach amidst a slew photoshopped covers. She looks beautiful in a very classy way. Love it.

  12. You may find her average looking, but many in america would buy this magazine just for freida.Almost everyone here consider her as great beauty.Like someone here said pinto is more successful in the west only because of her non indian look.she could easily pass off as latina.

  14. The styling could’ve been better in this pic. This dress BEGS for sapphire earrings! Would’ve made a world of difference to the picture.
