In Alexander McQueen

Freida looked great in the embellished cut-out McQueen at a recent event. While Payal thought the dress needed the belt to finish out the look better, I didn’t mind the look as is. What about you?

  1. she is looking stunning neck up, but somehow Iam finding that midriff too distracting. the break in the dress wasnt required. that s just me though!

  2. I think she looks absolutely amazing!
I know as a fan of Indian fashion, this embellished dress stood out to me when I first saw it (surely it reminds others of Indian embellishments on a lahenga or sari?)

I don’t usually like bare abs on the red carpet, but she looks so confident that I think i’ll let it pass.

  3. I love the dress! Beautiful…..I mean it looks good and perfect by itself but then once you see the pic with the belt i’m gravitating towards it!

  4. She looks good, but strangely I am getting that vulgar vibe from the dress. And I have nothing against skin show, but I guess cut-outs are always weird that way..

  5. The belt is required to save the dress from looking tacky and it would have given definition to Freida’s waistline.

The addition of the belt would have made this a killer look.

It is actually a nice dress from the usually overdone Alexander McQueen collection.

  6. Its a simple and beautiful dress. she looks nice.
Just a suggestion to high heel confidential since I so love your stuff, could you ask your photographers to take pictures of the hairstyles and outfits from the back, it’ll be of great help and I think we sometimes miss out on good stuff because the detailing is only at the back…would much appreciate it!

  7. this is what you call design. the cut outs are so well thought out, looks edgy without looking too punk. i think she looks great. i do like the belted look better but its great without it too.

  8. The belt saved what could have turned out to be a disastrous dress; looks far better on the model than Freida. Her hair and make-up are nicely done…the waist line fits in a twister manner.

  9. I find this dress okay-ish on her, the Indian vibe does appeal definitely. However, i fail to see how people can spend thousands on dollars on such clothes, when I can easily get a saree outta my mom’s closet and have it stitched almost the same (except the cutouts maybe!). Wish she had picked something more interesting.

  10. she shouldn’t wear midriff exposing stuff … maybe the 0% fat gives her the confidence to go for it … but damn it’s masculine … and then in combination with being flat chested … it’s no from me …
the belt does give ooomph to the dress in my humble opinion. makes it look richer. AND it hides the hideous cut outs.
