At her mehendi, the bride opted for a Neeta Lulla lehenga. Like the cheery colors!

  1. neeta lulla makes some seriously gawdy outfits. I wish esha had gotten something non-designer and spent her money on hair and makeup instead

    • Flowery ornaments have been there from before I am told by mom. In some of the villages from my region,. they are the main kind of ornaments for ancillary ceremonies like this.. .

    • Bengali brides wear flower ornaments before their wedding that’s why Ash wore it as Jaya is bengali. not sure why Esha wore it as neither her parents or groom r bengali.

on a side note she looks lovely not sure abt the colors in her outfit though. congrats to the happy couple.

  4. Oh she looks so tired, with that under eye puff, its such a spoiler.
one must really organise it in a way to get enough sleep..
Anyways the color is beautiful, its doing nothing to her…
and the outfit surely has nothing designer or tasteful to it…
Though m sure she’l look stunning on her wedding day as every bride does on her big Day.. All the best from my side

    • She is going to be wearing a kanjeevaram, a few actually – apparently, Neeta Lulla is doing a cut and paste job, although from the sketches, not sure if it will end up in a lehnga or a saree. I really hope they leave it at that – i fear that once Neeta Lulla starts to think embellishment, it’s the point of no return.

    • Ditto! that would do her classic looks much more justice..apparently Neeta Lulla is getting 4-5 kanchivarams and is making into one saree! Hope that turns out okay and stays classic instead of filmy

  5. She looks so much like her mother now. And tired! heard its an arranged marriage. The lehenga is too OTT, why dont they understand that less is more:!

  7. Its been a while since i came to India, but i love checking out Indian fashions. It just seems to me that all these fancy dresses are soooooo loud and garish. There are so many loud colors and patterns clashing wildly together. A decade ago, somebody would have called outfits like this “clown” or “christmas tree”. Am I hopelessly out of sync or does anyone else long for the good old days?

  8. ooouuuuccchhh….seems like the lulla mum-daughter have a color wheel, which they spin to get the randomest color…. and its almost like gaudy is there usp…i think i like manish malhotra in comparison.

Esha looks ok here.. looks tried and probably is… i hate the hair …too severe on the top and super frizzy in the bottom.

  9. She looks awful. I am sorry to say it as this is suppose to be her time but then who is picking outfits for her. She reminds me of poorly dressed heroines in the 90s. She has money, spend it wisely.

  10. Oh dear is right. I wish that inspite of the lehenga debacle – Ms. Deol had invested more time and effort on makeup and hair. It is her wedding after all. I am fearing what will be the next round for her.

    • I agree…her make up and hair are sad :(…almost limp…i do like the colors of her lehenga though…is a change from the usual…but the maang tikka somehow seems mismatched?! or is it just too big for her forehead…:S

  11. I liked her lehnga, better then previous one. She looks tired but still very charming innocent bride. Wish her lots of love in life

  12. if this is what she is wearing for sangeet & mehendi, i wonder what her wedding outfit is gonna look like !! i hope she goes the complete opposite way & chooses a traditional southindian saree

  13. Her hair looks terrible. That is the best they (the million fashion/makeup/hair ppl she has at her disposal) cld do with her hair? It kills the look although the rest of the look isn’t mention worthy either.

  14. Maybe I am really tired but there is a certain charm that this look reflects…so old school…it’s a mehndi ceremony and I assume she chose to downgrade the dressy factor just for that reason (mehndi can get messy)…for some odd reason I like it 🙂 Esha looks tired but in a happy place and that’s the charm I am talking about!

  15. If I were to guess, I’d say this was a hairstyle gone bad– she got it styled, hated it and then just undid the style and let her hair loose.

  16. The colors are terrible. Don’t know why anyone would put green, yellow, and orange together like that. Guys don’t be biased just because it’s their wedding.
