Dressing Beyond Her Age..

.. is Nandita, who sure gets brownie points for going traditional at the Tribeca Film Festival, but loses a lot more for latching on that granny shawl over a sari! Just makes her look so much older.

“Before The Rains” Premiere

“Ramchand Pakistani” Premiere

You just have to take one look at Konkona to know that it can be done! And be done great!

  1. nandita is a very boring dresser… She personifies “NGO dressing”. ill fitting blouses and boring saris supposedly for a cause..

  3. Beautiful dusky intelligent Indian women, one is learning to dress for the media, and the other is still trying to dress like she is going for the “Narmada bachao” meeting

  4. Well, the photos of Nandita without the shawl (inside, at the pres conference) are quite graceful actually, quite simple. Das has always chosen to be away from the media glare, and for the work she does for women’s rights, she should be given a pass. She is not like most other Bollywood bunnies who care more about looks than substance.

Konkona looks very good. Totally agree that she has both style and substance.

  5. Nandita is a very beautiful woman and the sari she wore here isn’t too bad but remember what she wore a few years ago to the Cannes film festival? I think it was a south indian sari with old fashioned gold jewellery. That was such a mistake. She could take a page out of Shabana Azmi’s book and wear Anuradha Vakil’s saris. They’re elegant and would totally suit her sense of ethics as Anuradha is all about reviving Indian crafts.

  6. in ref. to above, ^ she should leave shabana azmi’s shark teeth earrings! lol

konkona doesn’t always look this elegant…she sometimes makes the worst choices! but here she looks awesome! and i agree, the clutch is sooo pretty! i want!

    n. das, yeah we shouldn’t be too harsh on her…but man that thing she wore to cannes just cannot be forgiven! that was a disaster!
