Wearing saris from Shades Of India, Divya was spotted at recent events. Loved her in both!

    • The loose saree drape and the more flowing easy fit blouse were popular about 100 years ago in India. I have B&W photos of my great grandmom and her best friend (a Parsi) both dresses in these loose drapes. Given how the blouse fits, I doubt this is an attempt to show off hot bodies. Perhaps it’s just a vintage revival attempt πŸ™‚

    • I believe there is no proper or uniform way to drape the saree. There are hundreds of saree draping styles and expecting everyone to adhere to one single saree draping styles is so so wrong.

  1. She’s looking quite lovely here, love the casual drape with the boho blouse. And is done in a very naturally flowing way that it doesn’t look forced, and it’s a 100% Desi in fabric and styling. Love it, Very very nice.
the OTT fashionistas featured on this page sould take some inspiration here!!!

    • Hmm. Not sure why you feel that way. I have my personal taste as does Priyanka. We started the site as a platform to share our views about something and inviting others to comment. Not everyone has to like the same things others do.

  2. She looks super-elegant in both the sarees. I especially love the mauve one; it’s very charming. Love the draping too. Saree is a very versatile piece of clothing and you can style in a million ways.
