In Payal Khandwala

Wearing separates from Payal Khandwala, Diana attended a press meet to promote New Zealand tourism. Part of the event also included her participating in getting dressed up as a Maori. (see inside)

I think we can all agree, this hairdo did not suit her.

  1. The Rishi muni avatar 🙂 hope the hair style doesn’t catch on and become a trend, just like the deepika middle part pasted hair.

  2. This half updo only looks good with certain types of hair… typically thinner, shorter hair (or when the bun has less volume and is messy), and paired with the right outfit. It’s not the hairdo here, it’s her 😛 But I love her anyway, she’s one of the only effortlessly cool ones left out there.

  3. Did she dress up as a native in the second picture? So culturally ignorant and offensive. I thought she was one of the intelligent ones! Guess not.

  4. WHAT were they thinking!
    oh wait, they were not.
This is just offensive. Can’t believe a national agency would do something like this to their own country — and Diana would play along.

  5. This is so inappropriate. I mean Bollywood likes to pretend it exists in a bubble but this level of ignorance cannot be excused. I wish Ms Penty had actually shown the “class” that we keep attributing to her.

  6. Colours are so soothing to the eyes and so is Diana despite the atrocities put together on her. A rare miss from Penty but that is okay, we all have our not so lucky days. 🙂

  7. People talking about cultural appropriation ..
Why is it so offensive when someone dresses up in cultural attire/ headgears or other accessories from a diff culture .. If my American/ international friends try out sarees accessories
I never feel offended.. its a way to learn about other culture.. even as a kid in india we would dress up in cross regional attires .. its only offensive when its done mockingly which i dont believe is the case here ..
