In Anita Dongre

After a sari and a lehenga on previous days, Dia went with another lehenga Sunday wearing an printed Anita Dongre one from the designer’s couture collection. Hair in an updo, her festive look was finished out with jewellery from Amrapali and a metallic clutch.

She looked pretty.

      • Lol seriously. I am feeling dizzy after looking at all these people’s outfits. I feel like I have a better wardrobe than these people with well fitted and well tailored clothes. And I don’t even live in India, I live in a place where everybody is white except me.

          • Haha no, it’s a very beautiful city in Northern California where the rich white people live.

India has rich heritage of weaves, textiles, fabrics, embroideries, works across all over the country but these celebs don’t depict or do justice to it. I think they are obligatory to these designers so they have to wear their designs. In this process the individual dressing style is gone. There is so much unused potential.

I design my Indian clothes myself ever since I was young. I have an eye and inclination towards all the various crafts and fabrics in India that whenever I go to India I design my Indian clothes and jewellery myself.
