Nothing “Acid”ic About This!

A few weeks ago, the cast and crew of “Acid Factory” revealed the only female character of the movie, Dia Mirza. What piqued my interest though was that designers Shantanu-Nikhil have been roped in to style Dia for the movie.

Considering the duo managed to make even a gal like Serena look alrite, Dia should be a piece of cake!

  1. she looks great…if a little awkward
I don’t think her body language and expression suit what she was going for…pretty dress though

  2. Like the look that S&N have created. But like pdaevo said, Dia can’t carry it off. She always looks too straitlaced and simple to carry off this kind of look. Kareena can pull it off and so can Bipasha.

  3. P&P, I just saw a pic of Kirstin Davis on the red carpet (must be to the Sex and the City premiere, dunno) wearing a fab mint green dress and a pair of black Christian Louboutin Bow Sandals. They look pretty good in the black avataar than the pink ones that Malaika wore (and you posted about).
Actually wanted to know what clutch she is carrying. If you want I could take a pic of the pic and mail it to you. Thanks!!

  7. P&P: Thats the problem!! I can’t find a single pic in which it is clearly visible. I thought, maybe you could work your usual magic and know which clutch it is by looking at the snap/zip/flap/strap etc 🙂
Will keep trying to find a pic…

  8. Great dress, love the whole effect. Very Elektra meets she-vampire, I think the look is inspired from a movie in hollywood-cant seem to pin it down.Have to agree with Belle and Priyanka D, Dia sadly cannot carry it off-would have looked great on Kareena with her new found body.

  9. Sue is right, this is the Sin City look. Now I’m convinced Acid Factory is going to be a copy of one of those kinds of movie since we all know Sanjay Gupta does not have an original thought in his head. Dia cannot carry off this look AT ALL. She doesn’t have the ooomph factor and she looks uncomfortable.

  10. Okay, there’s something really wrong with this picture. The lower part seems a bit dynamic while her face is static. Her face says ‘I’m actually a wax statue’. The flapping dress makes no sense.
The person who photoshopped this is really at fault here.

I don’t like the dress. Seems too cliche. Even Bebo’s attire in tashan was better[more original] than this.

  11. LOL This picture is obviously Photoshopped – the neck to the hip area taken from one body and the ugly leg shot from another with Dia head on top.

that’s because Tahsan had Akki Narula as the costume designer (he did Bunty Aur Bubly, Bluffmaster, Jhoom Barabar Jhoom and Don…not Bebo’s gold dress though)
    he’s effing AWESOME!!!! 😀

  13. dia sucks! no offence dia lovers, and she can’t even make a designer dress that has been photoshopped look good then i’m sorry she doesn’t deserve to be in a fashion blog! sorry dia but we judge our celebs quite harshly considering the money they charge and the tantrums they throw and ofcourse the 3 hours of our lives they waste every friday, and that too not for free!

  15. miss d,
Shantanu and Nikhil have been roped in to style Dia for the movie not the others… In fact, the dress worn here also is by them…
