Déjà vu

We caught a glimpse of Aarakshan past weekend and couldn’t help but notice very similar Deepika’s styling is to that of hers in Love Aaj Kal. We’re talking about the frock-like kurtas paired with leggings.

In fact, the similarity doesn’t end there! We also spotted both Saif and Deepika feature in a dhaba style song on a cot. Chor Bazaari flashback anyone? 😛

P.S. We checked. The costume designers are different for both movies.

  1. Kurtis and leggings are what you see all 15 to 30 yr olds wearing in India nowadays. Esp in up/delhi , where I think Aarakshan is based. Even before Love Aajkal, kurtis n leggings were a rage in delhi. Staple and pratucal work wear for contemporary women.

  3. I don’t really agree. So what if it is “similar”? Deepika has the right face, grace, perfect figure, features to carry these kurtas. Instead of meticulously scrutinizing “same” or “yet again”, let us appreciate the fact that she does justice to these elegant Indian attires.
I think sensous when covered– Deepika’s forte!
