Fringed.

Here is another image of Deepika from the Vogue July Issue wearing a fringed Alberta Ferretti silk dress. Am glad that they shot the picture from the side and the fringe details aren’t as dominant because from the front (as seen on the model) the uneven fringe hemline just looks weird.

  1. She is so boring. This picture could have looked better if she were brushing her hair. It is pointless to be holding the brush in that fashion.

  2. @stuti – it’s because she is too bland and fails to excite.

BOOOOOOORING..and I blame many of the behind the scenes peeps like the the photoshoot coordinators and the photographers – they could always push her to do more..she’s the model, very often they are directed to do certain poses..they could push for more.

  3. Wow! I have a high tolerance for weirdness in fashion, but this outfit esp on model is just plain scary looking – like S&M stuff.. Deepika actually makes it look A LOT tamer… LOL

  4. well i cant say much for what everyone means when they talk of deepika or anyone else being ‘bland’ or ‘boring’. i mean, how many indian models/actresses show THAT much variety or spunk anyway. (ofcourse this will incite the welovesonam bandwagon) and while she’s rather ‘fresh’ (hahaha) she’s also only someone who has access to high fashion labels, and a bunch of magazines. how much of it is so ‘individual’ anyway.

yes, deepika isnt the most vivacious in terms of expressions or clothing, she still does WOW me, simply because she has such an extraordinary face.

  5. PnP,
    I have unrelated question:
I am trying to locate a post on HHC where some actress/model (can’t remember) was wearing what looked like a black sari with a light green border. then one of you commented that the sari is actually black and that it just looked blue in the pic.

can you help me out? I browsed your archives but could not find the post.

    Thanks a ton, 🙂

  6. @Stuti the feeling is mutual. Its getting very boring and predictable with Deepika. To think she’s a supermodel of India and all..

  7. Thank God people agree with him. This woman really needs to pack in some punch, i am so tired of her not being interesting. And its disappointing for someone who is so pretty and has an amazing figure!

  8. Deepika looks gorgeous; just her face that is. rest leaves a lot to be desired.

i sometimes feel there is a lot of “ticking deepika off” or dismissing her on this site. agree she is not the most extraordinary in photoshoots, but who, in bollywood is? i dont get “wowed” by anyone other than model lakshmi menon. THAT is one lady who can pack a punch. rest all are very mediocre and deepika is no exception

  9. and puh–leaseeee dont call someone boring just by their interviews. what do you want them to say– that they read neruda? want her to make fun of senior actors? is that how a woman becomes interesting in interviews.
Sorry but being diplomatic doesnt mean boring. i prefer diplomacy to “in your face” spoilt brats anyday
