In Sabyasachi

For the big Awards night, it was an outfit inspired by the Spanish bullfighters for Deepika. The actor paired her ivory Sabyasachi with stunning emeralds from Tanishq and rings from Anmol. A teased ponytail and dramatic smokey eyes helped finish out the look. A look that was right up Ms. Padukone’s wheelhouse; she looked great!

  1. Whatever happened to Sabya? Zero creativity and so much nouveau-riche. Very disappointing given his early days.

Re DP I can’t shake of that Aditi Rao Hydari feeling. Wish she had a sari on, the Tanishq jewellery seems made for it.

  2. She looked good but I for once dislike the makeup
I wish it was more natural since there’s a lot going on
The gown .. The jewelery .. Hair .. Makeup

  3. Yes, she looks good but I’m bored. Right about up her wheelhouse. I can’t help but notice that there’s no originality in her appearances. This look is giving major Sonam Kapoor vibes from Cannes in that stunning blush Ralph and Russo gown with the embroidered cape. I know Deepika is ahead in her acting career but Sonam is damn ahead in the fashion game. That note aside, Priyanka Chopra looked like a dream in her gown. Wish Deepika would tone it down a notch with her over done looks.

  4. Very reminiscent of some of Sonam’s looks in Anamika Khanna.

The dresses Deepika has been wearing at IIFA with plunging necklines and mermaid tails do nothing for her body type but quite interesting to see the persistence. Looks like she’s going for an image makeover.

  5. I don’t feel the connect..these oily tight pulled back hair doesn’t do her anything. She looks her best with soft wave open hair…anyway just my thoughts.

The dress looks more like she decided to wear a saree..but then just walked the carpet with blouse and petticoat… Not getting the look

  6. Aaargghhhhh!! My eyes! My eyes! Cleavage, spaghetti straps, bare mid-riff, heavy eye make up, heavily tinted face (more like bronzed!), giant emerald necklace and earrings!! Plus there is so much work on the gown so I don’t understand the need for the cape to be embellished as well…Less is more ladies!! Always!!

  7. Ufff…she is on fire! Talking of fire, why are all the ladies looking so orange on this green carpet,is it the lighting or a new makeup look!

  8. I’m having a hard time picturing a bullfighter wearing this; the bull would expire of laughter.

As for Deepika – this isn’t one of her best looks; the net and bralette combo looks tacky. It’s salvaged because of her good looks and personality.

  9. She’s worn similar coloured embroidered sarees and lehengas by sabyasachi before. But the silhouette is so different. Just loving the cape. Perfect for Spain. The makeup and those emeralds make it so fierce and bold. Diva par excellence!

  10. She looks fantastic! But I wish she had kept the eye make-up more subtle…what is it with these guys? Its always smokey eyes…but those emeralds, beautiful

  11. Wow, she is a stunner! What a dramatic gown!
I can’t help but think that slightly toned down make-up would have looked even better.

  12. Sonam and Aishwarya did similar looks at Cannes this year. Her looks are so repetitive nowadays and OTT. Where’s the Deepika that gave us that stunning mustard and green Gauri Nainika gowns a few years back? I wish she’d play around with more colors like Priyanka. Always playing it safe with the golds, blacks, and reds. NEXT!

  14. Very reminiscent of Sonam at filmfare but then all her looks. She’s gorgeous so anything looks good on her but not Sabyasachi’s best.

  15. This feels like a bit much – the cape, the cleavage, the bare midriff. She still looks good – kudos to her for pulling it off. But I wish her make up was toned down and a bit more softer. It was going to be impossible for her to top her Swapnil Shinde look.

  16. I find the upper portion of the outfit and presentation inexplicably tacky, a new and unnecessary step for someone like Deepika. She has an innate sensuality that doesn’t require in your face skin show, so the whole set of appearances of IIFA seemed like slow walk Volta face towards tackiness, sadly.

  17. Why oh why has deepika resorted to this over the top sculpted looks.?? She looks way to better au nauturel.. Just seems like she’s trying too too hard to be known as the fashion icon.. Everything about this look is screaming over the top and LOUD!!!
