At the Ambani Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, Deepika was seen in a gold tissue sari from Sabyasachi’s latest Couture collection. The tissue saris were one of our favorites and not only did Ms. Padukone looked great in it, she had me with her kolhapuri chappals as well!

Ok so Im a bit on the fence about this saree but this womam screams personality. Love her simplicity and those sane kolhapuris on her. And especially love that genuine smile on her!
So lovely to see her smiling and without that severe middle parted bun.
The gorgeous smile and warm, gracious personality are the only accessories working here. The tissue saree perhaps is tricky to photograph but it doesn’t effuse the rich, royal look a Sabya couture saree should. I’m so consistently disappointed in Deepika’s styling. The severe, flat bun does absolutely nothing for her. It ages her by a decade and brings down the whole look. The eyebrows are too harsh and the rouge/highlighter work is shoddy. Not convinced of the blouse choice either. This look just begged for a more polished styling.

Also it has become rare to see celebs wearing such plain gold jewellery without kundans, diamonds and precious stones. Extra point for wearing these type of jewels.

Such a gorgeous woman! Love that she is smiling whole-heartedly and such a refreshing change on the pages of hhc! Adore the kolhapuris and feel like the choker could have been omitted too for – but Ms Padukone looks ravishing.

I wish i could carry a saree the way Deepika does. I wore a chiffon saree for my pre grad ceremony and refused to move the entire evening. coming back to Deepika’s look, she looks gorgeous. Love the kolhapuris!
She looks pretty. Gorgeous smile. But that sari photographs weird and like someone above mentioned, cant see the richness of it, material looks gimmicky.

Love her in this. And nine times out of ten, I dislike her styling.
I just wish she wore her hair in that slightly messy-no part updo she used to wear. It looked chic and youthful and suited her face shape a lot.

In one of the latest magazines with DP on the cover was the headline – ‘Superstardom couldn’t have happened to a nicer girl’.. Can soo see why they chose that line for DP!! Her smile her looks so genuine and warm here . Damn being a regular girl , even I can’t bring myself to smile at my relatives during the weddings like she does here 😛
