On anyone else this red Anamika Khanna anarkali would’ve been overwhelming… Deepika however, looked absolutely lovely in it. We loved it, head-to-toe.

  1. Yes, she has the face and body to make such colors and dresses work. But she seriously needs to do something with her hair styling. She’s been having too many bad hair days recently.

  2. Bright red is not my color but Deepika here looks gorgeous. I see a glow on her face again. She should experiment with different hairstyles.

  3. I don’t think this is a good look at all! That outfit is quite overwhelming. Also, why is Deepika always wearing coloured contacts? It’s just so tacky.

  5. i think its more the gold earrings paired with the red anarkali that works. n hate to say this, cuz like others i want her to change up her hairstyle, but it actually does work too. overall, a very nice simple elegant look.

    • I think so too..the gold earrings, red bindi and red anarkali is what works… and well, she does have the most gorgeous of faces ! I have no probs with the hair…like it as it is..

  7. I a not a fan of the outfit but red is Deepika’s colour! She pops everytime she wears red. Remember how good she looked on Simi Selects in her red gown?

  8. how can anybody love this – it looks like a tent and the ghastly colour on those gold earring are an eyesore ! why does it seem like you ALWAYS go easy on Deepika ? Any special reason ?

  9. I actually think she’s working the outfit. Perhaps my only pet peeve would be the fact that there is gold AND silver (grey??) on the same outfit. How on earth do you accessorise?

She made the right choice in keeping the makeup understated too.

I do think the hair works with this outfit. With another outfit, not too much. It’s pulled back from her face and since the outfit’s got a high neck, the hair doesn’t grab attention from what she’s wearing.

WRT the lenses, i actually think she looks good. It suits her. If someone saw her for the first time, they might actually think it was her real colour. That said, the girl looks just as good, if not better, with her natural eye-colour.

Not sure about the shoes though.

  10. The outfit is so bad like Manish Malhotra meets the Nutcracker!

I dont see how those earrings match with the silver-ish embroidery or that bronze gota patch at the bottom!

  11. I likeee…it would have been really nice if the gold border at the bottom was cut off, not only it’s less tacky, but also shorter in length, it would have been just perfect

  12. The contrast to her oufit, hair and fake eyes are too much for me! If she needs to wear red, lessen other colors including her fake eyes!

    • lol…cowbell earrings…hahahha..yes thats the word i was looking for…thats what i said she looks like she just came out of a circus…way too overwhelming..

  13. it would have been fine with just the gold border or the work on the yoke. both together just clash. particularly the gold jhumkas with the work on the yoke.

  14. don’t like the gold jhumkas with that outfit!!& I don’t get not waering a chunni………this is not a tunic. An anarkali to me looks incomplete without a chunni

  15. lol…I would rather not accessorize this dress at all with so much going on already … and even pull back my hair to just let the look balance itself out.
