While at the engagement party last evening, it was a black and navy embellished sherwani for Ranveer and an organza sari by Torani for Deepika.
Personally, I am not a fan of the emerald, diamond and pearl necklaces that Deepika teamed her sari with. It was such a stark contrast against the warm red and gold tone of her sari and looked way too harsh.

Boring and why doesn’t she just shave her head.
Why would you make such a comment….How does shaving her head have anything to do with her fashion choices (whether you agree with them or not). Not a DP fan but that’s just unnecessarily mean to say to any woman actress or not.
Agree w you but obviously the comment was referring to her fashion choices (usual chipku hair).
I think I hear you (not “shave her head” but more on the lines of her “hair line” looks too harsh and sort of shaved vs looking soft). Also her makeup artist should really stop giving her smoky eyes that makes her look SO fatigued which is not a good thing. Didnt like her saree either. Hope she gives more soft and festive looks for the rest of the wedding events.

Selective moderation. Since it’s Deepika, I guess it’s ok to make such comments. If the same comment was for Alia (who also copies DP’s chipku hairstyle to the extreme), it would not have been posted. Coz you can’t insult a Dharma nepo kid. Non-nepo ko kuch bhi bolo, chalega.

Sartorial choices aside, the deference that Bollywood, even the most reclusive and exclusive stars. shows to the Ambanis is quite tasteless.

I like Ranveer’s outfit, even if it’s a bit OTT. Deepika though…who dresses like its their own wedding for an engagement? Makeup and jewelry don’t go well at all. Celebs just seem to lose their common sense when it comes to Ambani weddings.
deepika rarely has missteps in indianwear but the parts of this look don’t add up to a whole. the make-up doesn’t go with the saree doesn’t go with the jewellery. ranveer looks sharp but it’s their beaming faces that make you look a second time at these pix.
Honestly, I thought it is one of the old pics from their own wedding function. There are two implications of this:- 1. Nothing new in the look 2. They are overdressed for someone else’s function.

Most of the actresses were much more decked up than the bride herself . She looks great except for the necklace , absolutely unnecessary

I agree the shave the head comment is harsh but each time she wears this chipku hair… wonder if she needs any hair style. There are bald models and they are proud of how they look.
