In Ritika Mirchandani

Deepika attended her co-star Sidhant’s Diwali party on Friday evening wearing a white outfit by Ritika Mirchandani with pointed pumps and a cream bag.

Anyone feel like a dupatta would’ve finished out the look better, even though outfit is supposed to be more contemporary?

  1. I like it as-is. I’m glad she’s dressing for her body and her age. She looks statuesque. She needs to lay down on the crazy for a while, this suits her.

    • Just to be clear I meant that I’m glad she is dressing her age since she is young! Her usual ethnic wear tends to age her and this one does not!

  2. Honestly, is all this socializing and Diwali parties being allowed in India? I am outside of India and on the news, it seems like India numbers are still pretty bad. Man, I am so disappointed with Bollywood.

      • All house parties and indoor meets are causing numbers to go up in other places. So house parties are not ok !

There is no point in searching for a semblance of normality , because these are not normal times.

    • People are hosting 100 attendee weddings in india. I think that’s way worse than a house party. Honestly, I am bored of the comments on here ragging on bollywood for the last fre months. Its not compulsory reading, the blog is continuing to cover what it always as. People upset/bored/disappointed with bollywood have loads of other blogs to read.

  3. The blouse is so beautiful! But I wish it were straight fit. This one’s a comfortable festive wear, nonetheless! Don’t like the messy bun a lot but still DP looks so gorgeous.

  4. The blouse and Gharara are beautiful but probably would look better if worn separately. The blouse would lose it’s charm if it were longer. Maybe she could pair the same blouse with something different next time.

  5. Outfit is fine as is…the shoes had to be a open toed to avoid cluttering the feet. Bollywood as usual operates under its own rules…no social distancing no masks but will give gyaan on bursting firecrackers.

    • Yeah rules only apply to us unwashed masses, rules handed out on Twitter and “Insta”… they will fly private, and live a life of extreme decadence and luxury.

      Her outfit looks lovely though

    • Agreed. Its so silly that they wear the mask in the car and as they step out, they remove the masks for the paps, put them back on as they move indoors and then they take selfies with 15 people without wearing a masks.

Do they think that corona is spread by their “servants” and not by their friends/equals ? The double standards among these people continues to shock me.

The model wears the outfit with a belt that synches the waist. I think this look needed that instead of a dupatta.

  6. Love the outfit. Looks very chic and definitely fusion done right.

I actually think the length of the top is perfect. Any longer would have made it look more traditional and I don’t think that was the intent.

  7. I feel Diwali celebration demands bit more dressing up. More colorful outfit with some jewelry would have made the look festive. WIth this all white suit, a colouful duppatta, a bindi and some light silver necklace would have looked amazing.
