In Ralph Lauren

Deepika attended the InStyle magazine Golden Globes after party also wearing Ralph Lauren. Her one-shouldered silk gown was paired with a side-swept do and pearl drop earrings.

At first glance, I thought an updo would’ve worked better here but the more I look, the more am swayed by that gown. The yellow on her just looked divine.

  1. She looked STUNNING! It’s a shame the dress wrinkled a bit but what can you do? She looked fabulous. I am also appreciating the more subtle makeup as of late, let’s her natural beauty shine through.

  2. I’m sorry Payal, I don’t know if you are being biased or u just don’t have an eye for detail anymore. Her dress is very simple and boring and there is very obvious creases. If it were someone else, you would have picked that up. Be more critical

    • Are you kidding? Just because they have an opinion different from your’s doesn’t mean they are biased. I for one agree with them. A little crease doesn’t kill anyone.

      • No, it is is okay to have a different opinion but P&P have not called out the key points which are hampering the look
        1. The gown is wrinkled
        2. The design is pretty bland
        3. I also don’t think the gown is particularly well-fitted. Doesn’t define her waist
        4. I am on the fence with the pearl drop complimenting the gown
        5. Typically P&P comments would include that they would have preferred hair tied up preferably in a bun with statement studs

        • It’s satin which does tend to get wrinkled but fair enough your point is valid. The color more than makes up for the simple gown and hey since when is going simple wrong especially when this was for the after party not the actual event and I see nothing wrong with the pearls and maybe P&P didn’t either

        • 1. There is a slight crease but it happens sometimes.
          2. Not to me. I think simple gowns are great a lot of the times and Deepika can clearly pull it off.
          3. Not everything has to be waist defining. That’s not the style of this dress
          4. I think they look gorgeous and it’s fine if you disagree. But it doesn’t mean either of us are biased.
          5. Are you psychic or something? It’s not like they make that comment on every post. This was a very simple, understated gown and she needed to let her face and hair shine which is what she did. It balanced the whole look very well.

It’s fine to disagree but to say someone is biased purely because they have a different opinion is idiotic.

  3. That yellow looks absolutely stunning on her. I wish there were no creases on her gown – but that’s a minor quibble when she is looking so good. She is looking so much like Aditi Rao Hydari in that hair style.

    • She is, isn’t she! ARH looks like a more youthful version of DP to me.
She looks so stunning here. Less is more was never truer. Plus her complexion looks natural and not caked up. Brilliant.

    • Aditi has always been considered as a younger looking Deepika so if she’s looking like Aditi it pretty much means she looks younger. Compare these pics of her to when she made her debut then you would see it

  4. Sorry, but you guys are just being biased here. That color sure is eye-catching but the whole look is quite blah. No wonder it created zero buzz on the red carpet.

    • She’s on the best dressed of several international websites including instyle and elle so not sure where you get zero buzz from, she’s a newbie so she won’t get the same attention as A list celebs but she did get her fair bit I would say

      • She attended the InStyle party, obviously they would include her on their site. Other than that and ELLE Canada she got no coverage or buzz. It was kinda sad.

  5. The gown is meh at best. And cant get on board with the hair. I think we have seen her do way better, this doesn’t even look like her. Looks more like Aditi Rao H.

  6. She looks good here..but cant help notice the fact that her nose looks really weird in all these pics. It maybe because of too much Bronzer..

  7. Love the color and she looks great. A different pair of dangling or drop earrings and a nice cuff would have elevated the look a bit more. As such she is an 8/10!

  8. I think she’s been styled by a different and much better stylist! She isn’t over styled. Not whitewashed with make up and doesn’t have her hair in a severe centre parting. Such a refreshing change this makes even though this outfit borders on meh.

  9. I’m not impressed at all. It just too simple and lacks that glamour quotient at awards parties, not that I expect nothing but bling…a tighter version, hugging her gorgeous curves would have done wonders. Hair, make-up and that face is perfect though.

  10. Whichever stylist picked this dress, she should stick to them like glue. (btw, I’m sure it’s not her usual stylist bcos she’s not that good).

  11. looks fine.. except the creases on the dress.. n her nose is appearing crooked/ pointy.. dunno if its bcoz of teh make up contouring .. she is missing the mark.. the earlier fresh faced with a not so forced smile is needed back.. and soon..!

  12. I think for an after party, this is a great look. The color is fab on her! The simplicity worked here, agree on the crease, though. I am on the fence when it comes to the hair, think maybe a fish braid would have been more fun but its not a deal breaker.
