Deepika attended the premiere of 83 at the Red Sea International Film Festival 2021 in Jeddah wearing a dramatic gown by Michael Cinco. If anyone should be able to pull off this gown, it’s Deepika. But, between the flared shoulders and the tiers, the gown felt way too flamenco costume than an inspired from it one.

Outlandish and outlandisher
Did not like the material of the gown.
I think she looks great. The hair is a little off. I truly had no idea women could dress like this in Jeddah.
Saudi, uae, Kuwait, Qatar, turkey, and few more countries in gulf are more European.. you can dress as you wish. Even Libya, Iran, parts of Jordan are westernised.
Wait, I’m confused. Not sure about the other countries in your list, but I thought Saudi has a strict dress code for women in public.
In all these countries women CAN dress in pants, tops, dresses, and other western wear but they don’t expose or wear revealing clothes.
Saudi has only recently allowed a more liberal dress code for women as its ruler attempts to project a more open/welcoming image to the West and encourage even more investment/trade with the rest of world.
I am more impressed by the fact that a film festival in Jeddah with ladies attending without the abaya was even allowed. So if Deepika was looking like a flamenco dancer, let’s be glad we could see her in the outfit.

Kapil Dev and Romi Bhatia- Dev looked stunning at the event. So love her saree, very elegant.
Their Bollywood version seem to have gone Hispanic, ehich has left me scratching my head. Deepika does look statuesque on her own.

I think they are both having fun with the outfits! And why not? Fashion can be fun and experimental! If anyone can rock that gown, it’s Deepika!
Ranveer could’ve easily been a Mexican or Italian man with his flamboyance and style, here though he looks like a overdressed fella. I like his look but it’s missing a shirt.
Deepika looks gorgeous in that color and the gown is nice too except those huge shoulder flaps, they’re funny.
Agree!! A simple shirt or a white tee could have salvaged Ranveer’s look.
DP I have given up on long back, she seems to lack the personality to pull off such outlandish outfits.Also the dress itself makes little sense to me!
Finally a gown that does justice to her statuesque figure! How stunning does she look in the bottom left pic. No one quite has her aura in Bollywood. Ranveer gosh! He’s such a handsome bloke. I wish he sometimes toned down on his outlandish style. A clean cut suit and they would’ve made for a smashing sight!

Sadly DP and RS are transitioning from the basic meets eccentric duo to the desperate, try hard territory.
These 2 have decided to be camp for the rest of their lives, it seems. Shame cuz they’re so gorgeous I imagined them going the David/Victoria Beckham way after marriage (in terms of style) but here we are.

DP’s dress could’ve certainly toned down the bottom as it too much to take with the flare top and bottom.
Ranveer Singh in the name of “quirky” styling just looks plain vulgar and cheap, and more so with each sighting. Man cleavage is awful to look at, period. Its ok to pimp up ones style to be different… once in a while. But to perennially embrace the pimp clothing looks supremely silly. I am this close to saying middle age crisis but will not. Someone needs to man talk him to say that his dress (non)sense is not working anymore. Sorry dude.

This Indian actress caught my eye at Cannes – best in traditional Indian garments or easy separates.
The large insectoid garments in bright colors, Carmen Miranda memes have to go – in frothy green, magenta at Cannes and this. Nope.
Saree looks sure work best for her. With that zany other half would make for a perfect couple. Ha.

I’ve been photographing migratory birds and binging on Narcos season 3 lately and all I can think of is, Deepika is just about to flap her wings and take off gracefully from the lake… and Ranveer is just about to pull his guns out and start shooting manically and later make a funny joke staring at the pile of dead bodies.
The sleeves look comical. And then I saw Ranveer’s outfit.

We need to talk about Ranveer. With each day he’s getting more and more unhinged in his style. It’s 100% great to push the envelop with looks and experiment. I love how fashion forward and interesting mens clothing has become recently. But…He looks like a pedophile with a creepy van nowadays. It’s really OTT and distracts from anything he’s trying to promote or do. Horrific!!! She looks like a bird and not in a good way. Are they both vying for tackiest couple of the century???
