In Louis Vuitton

At the screening of Elvis at Cannes, Deepika was seen wearing another Louis Vuitton gown, one that she wore with a faux bob. Do I like the gown? Not really. Something about the color and the shape of the arm detail that just makes me think of oysters and I can’t unsee it.

Do you like?

  1. Jesus!!! WTF is this ?! Looks like she’s shielded from a submarine attack. Her confidence and her make up are the only saving Grace.

  2. Yikes, now this is the total opposite of yesterday, looks like your wish didn’t come true! Those sleeves look like a clam throwing up and her make up is absolutely dull….

  3. Love the dress, hate those vulture neck crown sleeves.. it’s so bad. Could’ve been better as a dress in the same fabric, design all the way

  4. Not great but it’s something different and it’s certainly impactful. I would probably change the hair but the face looks great!!

  5. May be unpopular opinion. She looks very nice. I don’t get the oyster or sea vibe but the shoulder/chest area does look stuffy. It would have been a great gown with less of that.

  6. Very avant- grade, I think this gown is more visually interesting than the red LV peplum one. I can’t quite make up my mind about whether I like it or not but I do love fashion that incites discussion. One thing for sure, I’ve never seen those sleeves anywhere so that’s novel. Pairing this with a print that’s almost houndstooth from afar is visually interesting.

  7. She is looking like a serpent goddess (Surasa) emerging from the sea…and not in a good way!! Again, her face and height are the only saving grace for this look.

  8. I’m sure I’m in the minority but I actually love this look. It gives me a powerful Maleficent meets swan vibe that I find powerful, bewitching and so very DP. I much prefer the makeup and hair here than the fried pony with red lip combo.

  10. The gown looks like one of the armors taken out of an Indian period movie but she works the overall look owing to her statuesque structure.

Not a bad look at all!

  12. She looks amazing! Love love love the dress! Its brings the drama and is something you never see on red carpet. I like how confident she looks. She and other Bollywood actresses need to experiment more like this rather than stick with pretty princessy flouncy dresses imo!

    • Agree!! Love love the dress. It’s so different. Not the usual gowns you see on the red carpet. Her makeup is also on point.

  13. Isn’t it uncomfortable to wear this and watch/judge a movie? She’s a gorgeous person and can pull off all the drama this outfit offers. I wish her team and she herself were more focussed on her role in Cannes rather than letting the clothes take center stage all the time. Loved that black peplum suit she had worn to one of the events!

  14. She is clearly having fun doing her thing and it shows.
Fashion can come and go, as do the comments/ feedback/trolling, but the experience, the feeling she is living is unmatchable. Loving her attitude.

  15. Wish it were a strapless column dress… The sleeves are drowning her neck (even hers)! Moth like shape of the sleeves doesn’t help either.

  16. Really dramatic look. Remarkable artistry of the gown ! Whatever was the inspiration …is certainly executed superbly! Her make up and hair is just perfect, not the tired oily skin look for earlier looks. this is so relaxed and fresh faced ..! the best look of Deepika in Cannes by far, takes her a level far above others and shows what she’s really capable of !

Hitting the ball of the park look this one..!

  17. What drama! Deepika looks absolutely regal in this. My first look of this was on insta, the photog did more than enough justice to this dress and Deepika. I cannot imagine ANYONE carrying this better than Deepika did. Bravo! Yes, she took lotsa wardrobe risks this Cannes outing, but apart from raccoon eyes in the Sabya outing, cannot fault her choices and makeup.

  18. I am surprised P&P did not mention that it is a very Elvis-esque design, an apt nod to the movie that she is attending. When you realize that, it is stunning!!!
It is the most risky dress so far fashion wise but she delivers and how!!!
The make-up and hair are on point.
