Deepika’s every appearance is so contrived, there’s no fun left anymore. Imagine getting styled and having a photoshoot just for a family lunch. How boring must her existence be.
Just my thoughts.. was loving her natural relaxed looks lately.
It is just clownish! Reminds me of Middle ages European men collars.
Mmm whilst I agree with you labelling her style as boring or contrived, saying her existence must be is a little condescending and taking style commentary to a personal space. Let’s not forget this is a female superstar at the very top of her game, a life which millions whether they admit or not, aspire to. Perils of the job include being photographed and scrutinized constantly so even if she is doing photoshoots just for a family lunch, it’s just a downside to what must be an overall pretty incredible life. Just think we should being so presumptious and judgemental.
Everyone is allowed to express their opinion.. just coz its negative does not make it baselessly judgmental. By that standard the judgment EllieDee’s comment is also judgment. Whatever happened to people being free to express negative feedback.

I agree. While yes, I don’t like the styling…I don’t know why people need to maker comments personal.
Her post wedding trip to the various temples was also all about the looks. There was nothing intimate or personal there. And she said it was all for their fans.
No, as a fan, i care about your films. I enjoy the occasional interviews and as a fashion lover, i enjoy seeing the promotional tour looks too. But if you are not active in films or there is a freaking pandemic, it is totally fine to “serve no looks” than these forced ones.

How do we know she didnt choose the outfit herself? We don’t know if she has been styled by a pro. I’m sure she can throw on a pant and a top and slip into heels on her own.
Also looks like a normal family time and cell phone pics.. not getting the photoshoot part…
On an unrelated note, these guys have an elaborate wardrobe and do have in home junior stylists cum helpers who generally help them out.. just like we have in home cook who would know what’s in our fridge and recommend the dinner menu.. they would have someone who would say hey why don’t you wear that red pirate shirt which was sent to you.. you have been meaning to..
it’s part of their lives.. doesn’t make it any more contrived than ours.. I don’t think we need to pull them down to find meaning in our lives! That’s like me saying every girl thinner than me must have an eating disorder. .!

It wasn’t just a lunch though it seems…it was a party! From the looks of it there were already more than 50 people in attendance…so I wonder is it fair to bash her for using a stylist that’s at her disposal?

It was her mother-in-laws birthday…but husband and wife made it all about them …what with all the posing for paparazzi photos right outside their/MILs house. I just don’t get it.
To be fair the husband and wife just happen to be two of the biggest stars in the country .I don’t think there’s anyway the spotlight wouldn’t be on them in a family function. Can’t really blame them or judge them for that…
I don’t get it seriously!??! Deepika and Shaleena thought it’s a great idea to wear an oversized, bad looking red blouse with shiny, skinny, latex pants for an afternoon “event” which was Deepika’s mother in law’s birthday lunch? A full blown photoshoot, professional hair styling and makeup, clothes sourcing for a family lunch? Can Deepika not style herself for even a private family lunch? I just at this point don’t know how much of Deepika’s “style” is her own because every walking minute of her life outside her home is professionally styled, planned and recorded to make a statement for the world.
Those latex pants don’t look comfy for a lunch outing. And yes, her look is overstyled to the point of being gimmicky.

This is another case of, just because it’s designer doesn’t mean it’s nice! I know she seems to love Balenciaga but that shirt is hideous, and for a casual lunch outing, what was she thinking. I don’t know if this is her style or Shaleena’s but Deepika really need to starts saying no and possibly even changing stylists.
I’d say this used to be Shaleena’s style, but years of dressing like this has probably grown on DP so now this tackfest is her vibe too.
Tacky, boring, like very “I forgot what I like”.. I actually forgot what her natural hair looks like. Did she lose confidence or secure feeling about herself that she never wears any casual chic styles anymore? Where did her personality go? Or was it always her stylists(Anaita) and never her personality before too?
For once she is looking more strangely dressed than Ranveer . It’s like she stepped out of a photo shoot to go lunching.
Also I never understood Deepika’s innate style .

I remember a time when I used to save her outfits/hair/makeup for inspiration. But over the last few years, her style & attitude have gone so downhill that nothing about her seems appealing to me anymore.

PnP are to be blamed for this. They set a subtle tone to each star. It has always been very clear which stars they like and promote.
And also there is this snooty thing in fashion Circles where of you cannot join the Fashion bandWagon late, you have to be born with it. So if you are superstar and have agreed in past to have not great taste but now hire a stylist, you are oh so not up with the fashion elites. It is part easy target part elitism part plain jealousy.
really, who attends a family birthday lunch dressed like this? it’s like DP has forgotten what her own style is and what she likes. she’s a clothes horse, i get it, but not everything has to be about serving up a “lewk.” whether there were 10 or 50 or 100 people at this party, her outfit is still too contrived and over-styled. wish she’d just relax and style herself once in a while. even her anniversary pix at the temple from some time ago were SO highly styled, there’s no sense of personal expression anymore.
In this pandemic when movie halls are shut, celebs are dressing for their Insta posts ! So DP and RS turning up for a party like this is but natural. Why so much hate?? When airport and “out and about” looks get papped it’s but natural to see pics of these two and their families.
